This 2-quart saucepan from Farberware may be styled to look vintage, but its construction is anything but. Stainless steel protects the thick aluminum core and promotes better heat distribution, while the durable pan lid fits closely and has rolled rims to help keep drips from staining the stovetop. Its lid also boasts steam vents that close to lock in moisture when making rice or steaming vegetables; when the vents are open, they help to prevent boil-overs. I HAVE THE BIG SET OF THIS COOKWARE. I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS. I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY PLEASED WITH EACH PIECE. I HAVE HAD THE MORE EXPENSIVE SETS OF COOKWARE BUT I WOULD RECOMMAND THIS COOKWARE TO ANYONE. IT WOULD BE A GOOD GIFT FOR A NEW BRIDE. SHE WOULD HAVE COOKWARE THAT WOULD LAST FOR YEARS. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN AND STAYS NEW LOOKING AFTER YOU HAVE USED IT FOR SOMETIME.

The 2 quart saucepan takes a little longer to heat than my teflon-coated pans, but I like the fact that you can put this pan in the dishwasher.
