Great music,

An excellent CD, with strong vocals from both the male and female singers, and very good lyrics. This is a balanced album of solid music.

Uma rocks,

My friends and I have followed Uma for some time and insist that they are one of the greatest musical sounds out of the L.A. area in recent history. Being a lover of the B-52's i enjoy a band that has more then one lead singer giving the band the ability to change and grow and not have every song sound the same as so many groups do today.

An absolutely fabulous and flawless album - it's a great disappointment that Uma did not receive more recognition for their efforts. Brilliant, original, and passionate lyrics; wonderfully crafted and powerful music. It's not often that one this good gets away, and what a terrible shame when it does...

WOW,

i saw them open for Jonatha Brooke last year, and was very taken with their performance. i love sally's voice, and find their music style to be unique and engaging. they were super-friendly backstage, and i felt an overwhelming desire to help spread this L.A.-based group's music all over! i've given their music to friends who loved it, and only wish they would get more exposure...unfortunately, they're not your average Pop material. this is the kind of music you seek out and are glad you did.

I like this recording and find myself playing it regularly. It's the kind of music that grows on you. There are two lead singers, a male and a female; that's a little unusual; but it's a nice "different." The songs are mostly alternative with perhaps some folk-rock influences. I especially New Year's day, a song about a meeting with Stephan Hawking. The record may be a bit too cerebral to be popular with the masses. I saw them in person after I had already had the album for a couple of months. They have talent.

One of the best albums of the 90s, thoughtful and passionate. What has happened to these people?
