5.0 out of 5 stars Emo at its best
This is probably one of the best cds i have listened too. My friend had introduced me to them, and i loved it ever since. I always have it in my cd player. Sadly, she burned it for me(im a cheapskate i know). I would have paid her as much as it was worth. It is truly amazing, you can find yourself relating to it, and thinking. Great CD. Buy it

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
Well, i can't say that this is one of the greatest emo cd's u'll ever hear, but its definately a really good one. Great lyrics, good singing and totally soaring melodies meld to produce an overall enjoyable record. Its probably nothing you havn't heard before, but its totally worth a listen and i would reccomend it to anyone who likes melodic rock and emo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Simplicity, June 20, 2004
This review is from: Farewell to the Familiar (Audio CD)
The instrumentals are simple, but work very well. As go in the case of Bright Eyes etc. The vocals and lyrics is what carried Slow Coming Day. This is truly emo.

Slow Coming Day, is a great band, I would not say they are awesome but they are great. If you like bands like Jimmy Eat World (that their early stuff) or the Get Up Kids you'll love this album, it truly is emo, not that "so called" emo they play on MTV. Musically these guys are very talented, although being a Christian band I would like to see more Christ centerd lyrics, although I do understand the fact that some Christian band do not feel called to preach through their lyrics. If you like emo/indie rock you should defintly buy this album, if you are one of those teen-boppers who like bands like All-American rejects you probally will not like this band.
