This review is from: Farewell to Islam (Paperback)
This book is a captivating story with a background of a boy in Iran in the 1960's-70's, followed by the escape from Iran in its attempt to keep him there during a visit after many years of living in the USA as a US Citizen. Amazing story. Educates in the ways of how Muslims can use their own 'bible' the Quran to show how Jesus Christ really is the way.

Farewell to Islam,
By D. Canter "dcanter" (Fairview, NC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Farewell to Islam (Paperback)
Anyone interested in the truth about Islam should read this book. It tells the true story, in his own words, of one man's journey from being raised in Iran under the oppressive religion of Islam to his questioning of its teachings and search for the true Allah... how God led him in his search by bringing him to America and revealed Himself to him through His word in the Bible.... how after becoming a Christian, he went back to Iran to share his faith with others, was harassed by the Iranian government, and finally had to be smuggled out of the country to get back to his family in the USA. It gives the reader a true comparison of Islam to Christianity through many passages in the Quran and the Bible, and shows the faithfulness of God in a real life or death situation.

FAREWELL TO ISLAM is a moving account of an Iranian Muslim turned American Christian who suffered at the hands of his home country in unjust, shocking experiences. His honest recounting of returning to Iran to visit his parents and family is very readable and refreshing from his personal perspective. Explanations about Islam and Iranian culture are eye-opening, and the differences between those and his new-found American home and beliefs make one truly thankful for our own American heritage. Historical information and pictures add to the interest. A great read to get our American "heads out of the sand" about how depressed some other people still live.
