Despite the title, this is a sweet little book. Hey - it's something that we ALL do....and Farley does it best!!! You'll love the cute pictures and story line. I gave this as a gift to my cousin to read to her daughter.....her daughter read it to her - with all the "pffft" sounds! Loved it!

Someone gifted me with this book a few years ago. Just love it! This subject matter is the great equalizer of men, as no one can claim they've never done this bodily function. I have adults read it out loud with alot of expression in a group of adults...and the laughing is uncontrollable. What a great icebreaker for a group. It's even more funny when someone "dignified" reads it aloud. Great book for kids and adults.

what a cute and funny book! I read it to a group of 2nd grade students and they laughed and laughed! Face it, everyone talks about farts in the privacy of their own homes...it's good for you to laugh out loud everyday and this book will make you laugh!

A hit with boys,
This review is from: Farley Farts (Paperback)
My 7-year old son loved this book. He loves any disgusting noises so maybe that is why, but it is a bit funny. He even carried it to school as a book for the teacher to read for his class and it was a hit! If your child is into disgusting science and noise putty I am sure this will be enjoyed.

I have purchased this book for a few friends that have young children-it is always a hit and parents report they find the story of Farley the Frog and his flatulence entertaining as well. Be warned: once the kids catch on, you will have to make the appropriate sounds to go with the story, but it is a darling book, cute story and very well illustrated. If you have issues discussing bodily functions-this is not for you.

PPFFFOOOTTT!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Farley Farts (Hardcover)
Farley has been farting. He farts at home, he farts at school, he farts in the pond. "It was like a jacuzzi!" But mother frog is worried and sends him to the doctor. The doctor says, "'It will pass.' Unfortunately, it KEPT passing." As Farley's gas builds, he gets bigger and bigger--too big for his clothes and eventually too big for the door. One day, Farley has stored up so much gas that he floats away into the sky. His father comes up with a solution worthy of Grandpa Joe: "'Fart, Farley, just as loud as you can!' But Farley couldn't hear him. 'What, Dad?' 'PPFFFOOOTTT!' everyone shouted." So Farley farts, drifts back down and celebrates with bean soup...but this time Farley's not the one who farts!Gross bodily humor is captured here in a story that's almost too cute for it. I love her painting style--acrylics scrubbed over in layers with a faint similarity to David Shannon's. Perhaps with a little more of Shannon's naughty wit, this story would "rise" to the occasion.
