5.0 out of 5 stars Farm Fun - the kids love it! January 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I sent this one to my PC because I wanted to see it in color. While I was previewing it, my 3 year old saw it on the screen. We had to read it about 10 times in one sitting. I am impressed at the number of words she already knows.

This book is well illustrated, an it is easy to read for the little ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute Little Book January 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I actually downloaded "Farm Fun" because I have been curious to see what colorful illustrations look like on a Kindle Fire. I review quite a few children's books but with a regular Kindle (I have the first generation) there's nothing really there for toddlers and preschoolers. The KindleFire though has opened up the field and I'm happy to say that the illustrations from "Farm Fun" and the other little books I have downloaded look fantastic. The colors are brilliant and appealing.

Now as for content, "Farm Fun" is on par with other learn-the-animal books. Peter Lawson's
book asks questions, gives clues, and then the answer.

Example:
"Who's making that noise
behind the bushes? They're
white and very wooly."

The picture shows a farm background with a sheep mostly hidden behind a bush. In the air around the sheep is the word 'baa'. The next picture shows the sheep and is accompanied by text that answers the question:

"It's Dolly the Sheep, eating logs of grass."

Other animals that are included are a duckie, a pig, a happy hen, a hungry donkey, a cow, and surprisingly, a farmer and his tractor.

I think this is a nice ebook. The ONLY thing that would make it better is if there had been sound. If there was sound it would have been 5-Stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolotely lovable May 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
My two-and-a-half-year daughter absolutely adores this book. It teaches names of farm animals, but what is best about this book, it introduces a picture of a farm animal partly covered with a stable gate, grain bag, tree, etc. so a child can guess which animal is there, and then in the next picture it shows the animal uncovered, so your child can see if the guess was ok. My daughter loves it. The pictures are children-friendly and the graphics are lovable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Simple April 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was cute but didn't hold my toddler's attention and doesn't really have a story line per se. Might be great for a child younger than 2 but for more advanced kids who already know their farm animals this one a little too simplistic.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Farm Fun" - Really fun! February 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Good sound then object association development.
Sounds are created first, question asked then object shown.
This encourages cognitive thinking.
The illustrations were simple, bright, and colorful.
Fairly easy reader. Great for toddlers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable guessing game for little kids January 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
My boys got a real kick out of this book. The illustrations are first class and there is just enough of the animal peeking out for them to feel rewarded when they guessed right. I also really liked the fact that the pictures were so big and bright. This is one of those books that my little people will want to read again. I recommend it.

As with Jungle Fun, my kid loves this book. I however, don't have a lot of patience for bad grammar, so I have to change some of the words as I read it. Read more
