Such a simple technique and yet so effective,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: On The Farm (First Discovery Look-and-Learn Series) (Hardcover)
Each book in this "First Discovery Look-and-Learn Series" used the same format: A two page spread picture with a little text to set the scene and then a lift up flap that identifies and tells fascinating tidbits of information about various living creatures or objects on the two-page spread.
I have four books from the series. After finding one and seeing how much the kids liked them (perfect for science enrichment) I found as many as I could to add to our classroom science library. They don't seem to be in print anymore, this is a shame as the artwork and lift-a-flap concept really appeals to and keeps the interest of the children. I had to purchase all of them used. They are worth every penny as I couldn't find any other resource that could replace how we use them in the classroom. |
