A real disappointment!, August 22, 2007
Being a long time Faron Young fan,I was really excited to see this collection offered. However, after I got it and played it,I was really disappointed. The songs on this cd don't appear to be the original versions, and although a few of them were ok,overall the originals would have been much better. I was particularly disappointed in the version of "I Miss You Already"presented here-some of the words were changed and the arrangement was different. If you are a die hard Faron Young, you might want to get this, otherwise,I don't recommend it.

A must-have for Faron Young Fans, December 27, 2005
This review is from: Faron Young - 20 Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This is an album released by Highland Music, Inc, that appears to be a collection of later Faron Young material. BUT, it is not a collection of songs simply sang by Faron in his later years....these are original recordings. There are a few songs here you may never find elsewhere, including: "Apartment #9" (made famous by Tammy Wynette), "Seasons Come, Seasons Go" (an absolutely superb Faron Young number), "Back Street Affair", and I believe one of the finest country songs you will hear anywhere by any artist: "Sittin' in an All Night Cafe". There are a few songs that are Faron "covers", such as Roger Miller's "King of the Road", and Ray Price's "The Other Woman", but you can rest assured that as with any song he sings, they quickly become Faron's songs. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and liner notes are non-existant, but this is an affordable CD that any fan of Faron Young need in their collection.
