Best of the Best,
This review is from: Farrenheit (Audio CD)
This was my favorite album from my high school days. This band opened up for Billy Squire (or was it Boston?) in '87 and they amazed me. It wore out that LP. It is still one of my top 5 albums of all-time.

Best unknown band of the 80's,
This review is from: Farrenheit (Audio CD)
What can i say?? Farrenheit only put out 1 legitimate lp in the 80's, and it's finally on cd on the Wounded Bird label(thank u Wounded bird). I caught these guys live in Worcester Mass. opening for Boston back in the early 1990's. They blew Boston out of the water. This album was one of the very few that I liked every song on. I played the vinyl to death. From "lOST IN lOVELAND", TO "STAND oUT", EVERY TRACK IS AWESOME. if you are a fan of well played well sung, catchy pop/rock buy this cd, you won't be disappointed.

What a waste! Can't even call it a one hit wonder because they didnt have a hit off it and the only reason i know about them is i lived in the Boston area at the time it came out.But what a great original and awesome cd and a waste of the next quarter century of potential and great music! Its almost sad listening to how great this cd is!If they just had a few incredible hot singles like a lot of 70s and 80s bands then you could just enjoy those hits knowin that was all the band had but with these guys it coulda been so much more its kinda sad but a great cd nonetheless!

An amazing bit of gleaming rock from the sewers of the late 80's,

I'll admit I'm biased about this review.
I bought this cassette (!) in early 1987 at an Army PX when I was serving in at the Kirchgoens Army Post, West Germany. I played it over and over and over. I was 23 and never realized that some music in the world could become instant classics. I even remember playing it so much around the barracks and while I was cooking in the mess hall people went out and bought copies of their own! Yes, it can be called a bit prog rock, maybe it has shades of 1975 Springsteen injected into it, but it is worth it to listen to the straight-forward approach they undertook, from the saxophone to the big drum beats. It's also a real shame they never made it big in America. From the opening blast of "Lost in Loveland" I knew I had something original and wonderful as far as rock albums went. In 1987 we had to wade through the garbage of syrupy ballads by cheesy hair bands and even worse messages. The music here, led by rock journeyman Charlie Farren (of The Joe Perry Project fame), is upbeat, classy, full of energy and is listenable, again and again and again. 11 tracks under 60 minutes, and yes it rocks! It's a shame that the now out-of-print album goes for such a premium price, but I found his website - [...] - and you too can get hooked on his sound, and you can listen to a few cuts from this album and others, too, and even buy some of his other albums there. I consider this an essential album and it's in my top 25 albums ever made. It's 5 stars all the way for me, from beginning to end - I hope you're lucky enough to find a copy, one way or another. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
