This review is from: Farscape: No.1 (Paperback)
If they were, they must have been drugged.I haven't read the Andrew Dymond book, but I have a feeling it's on par with this piece of dren. Set during the first season, BEFORE Moya is pregnant--and if it's not set then, where's Chi?--it has more continuity problems than I've seen in a while. Obviously, the author saw maybe two episodes--both early season one--and never tried to find out anything more. However. The worst part of the book is the Woman Out For Revenge on Aeryn... This woman follows many of the classic marks of a Mary Sue, and it felt as if she'd been written in specifically to lengthen the novel. Which sucks. She needed to be dumped into the garbage as soon as she was proposed. Did I mention no one's in character? Except for, somewhat, John. And there's some nice bits between John and his dad (quite lovely bits, actually. Why couldn't he have stuck more of THESE in instead of the stupid Revenge woman?) It also reads like a Star Trek novel, in some ways. With the PC cast, the PC ending, and the PC agenda of Our Heroes. Ok. So I'm over the top. A little bit. Hrm. Later.
