This review is from: A Farthing Will Do (Hardcover)
The war is over and its a time for the people of Bridge End to celebrate. For Lizzie it means the return of her husband Alec who has been a POW. For Heather, Ian who been away fighting for six years, it would mean that she wouldn't have to work the farm anymore. But is that something that she is willing to give up? And for Ruth, would she have to give up Sammy, a boy that is very close to her heart. The war many be over, but the battle will continue."A Farthing Will Do" is the second book in Lilian Harry's "Bridge End" series. But I have to say I didn't really like it. There was something about this series that I just didn't enjoy. Ms. Harry's "April Grove" is so much better. |
