The NATURE'S FIRE VOLCANO also used to be sold at the Discovery Channel Stores. My kid loved it while it worked. Lasted about a month. All of the reviews stated the same on their site. Lasts from 1 to 3 months. Wish I had checked it before we bought it. Save your money.

I had been eyeing this at our local toy store, which had it on display, and thought my daughter would like it. When I finally went in to purchase it, I asked to see the display in action one more time. They turned it on and it no longer worked. So much for making a sale. The salesperson admitted to me that there were many returns on this product.

Don't buy this. It is a rip off and worked for about 3 weeks. They should have recalled it since I know that they must be aware of the problem. Their website is full of complaints.

My husband and I bought this lamp for our son last Christmas as a nightlight for his room. We are on the second one because the first one didn't work. The second one only worked for about week. The light comes on but it will not erupt. When it does erupt it makes a bit of a noise that sounds like sporadic deep breathing. This noise woke us up a time or two because it sounds like "Darth Vader" through the child's monitor we keep on our nightstand. We keep it around for the light. The light is nice. It hasn't erupted since last new year.

I got this for my son for Christmas. We fired it up with no problems until the next day. You can hear the motor running but the lava "pebbles" would no longer move up through the volcano. While it worked my son loved it (he's 6) I just thought that it would last more than 1 day.

We bought this for our son that LOVES volcanos. He constantly asked us to turn it on and he and his brother watched intently. It seemed cheaply made but did the job until the motor stopped working after not even a week. Great idea but very lousy product!

I bought this for my 5 & 7 year olds nephew and niece and they love it! They use it as a nightlight and are fascinated with how it glows and erupts. My kids also have one of these at school and all the kids love watching it work. We've had no problems with it and it was easy to set up.

This lamp looks really cool when it is running, however, it can't run very long. The beads get hung up and won't come out any more. I bought two units and it is the same with both. You can't put it on a time either because there are 2 switches that must be flipped to operate it. One in back and one in front. I think that it was worth the $15 I paid for it, but still think that more thought could have been put into it for those who actually wanted to use it.

All of the similar reviews on this item are correct. Mine worked fine for about 3 weeks before the motor which causes the eruption blew out. This thing isn't fun with just an LED at the top. Pass on this one.

This product is spectacular! It has lasted over a year and absolutely no problems. Called customer service regarding other items and they are absolutely excellent. I would recommend to anyone.
