I bought this for a dead Fasco 7021-10299. This was the equivalent model (A170). IT came with a bag of mostly unecessary items if this is a replacement such as wires, rubber sleeve, etc. The instructions were easy to follow. The blower was easy to put in. The unit runs a lot more quiet than my last one (when my last unit was operating normally, that is). Also, Amazon had a better price by at least $15 or so from a few other places I checked out.

The is the second replacememnt exhaust gas blower for my 15+ year old high effecient forced air furnace. The original lasted 10 years before bearing failure on the blower. The OEM replacememnt from a local furnace repair shop was getting noisey after 5 years so I purchased the Fasco A170 from Amazon. The new one was nearly an exact replacement for the OEM unit (no longer manufactured). It installed perfectly and was quieter running than the 5 year old unit.

This lasted one (1) month. After the second month of operation, the unit started to sound rough when starting up and shutting down. It is now two (2) months since instalation and you can hear the motor vibrate though the entire house and outside by the furnace exhaust when shutting down. My guess is it will lock up totally due to defective motor bearings within the next week.

Good News (I Hope)... I called Amazon and they are shipping me a replacement within the next 2 days! Thank You Amazon.

I hope the next one will provide 5-10 years of operation like the OEM unit did.

The Fasco A170 is packaged with everything you need to replace this yourself, it comes with wiring harness to adapt to the old harness. It comes with new hose clamps and adapter for the PVC pipe. It takes some wiring knowledge, but most people can do it. It comes with the complete instructions on how to replace the blower. I was VERY pleased with Fasco. If you go to the Fasco website ([...] you can find a cross reference database if you are unable to find a direct replacement to your blower.

Amazon showed that I would receive this item on the Feb. 15th-20th but it arrived on the 13th! Being without heat in my home, this made a large difference. The blower fit perfectly and came with all of the needed hardware and instructions. I had a toasty warm home in 30 minutes after receipt. The only thing I would like to see added is next day air shipments. All of the homes in my neighborhood are about the same age so as my neighbors begin to have problems, I will direct them to you!

I bought this after waking up to a hideous droning sound coming from my vents, I found out the inducer fan was the problem and ordered this one. Shipping was a two days later than the "two day shipping" I paid for due to an issue with fedex. I opened it up and was surprised at how well it was packaged and how much it included! This kit came with everything to wire it up in case you are using this to replace a different set up, the instructions were clear and easy to read and within a half hour I had heat, PERFECT!

All went well, but to easily remove the wires from the old fan that go to the white Molex connector, I purchased Minute Man Electronics part number 61-390 pin extraction and removal tool see: http://www.minute-man.com/acatalog/Pin_Extraction_Tools.html#a61_2d390_2d.

To remove the connector so you can extract the pins, first remove the underside connector (male pins) then the top connector (female pins) from the sheet metal.

Using the pin extractor, eject the two fan wires from the connector. The new fan comes with 2 wires with the new pins that can then be easily pushed into the connector. The pins should make a click sound when pushed in. Pull on the wire to make sure it is in the connector properly. Reinstall the connector in reverse order. Hope that helps!
