Bought as a replacement for the one that was making a loud scraping sound. It went in without a hitch and works great, silent too! This job is easy to do yourself, I picked this up for half the price the local furnace store wanted.

This was a OEM replacement. Not much to say it just replaced the worn out part and fixed the noise with the heating system.

You would think first to go to a local heating/plumbing store to get a part like this for your furnace. Fretting over -will it fit right, will it work, how hard will it be to install myself and how much will it cost. - The part numbers matched, the photo provided enough detail so that I could see this is the motor I needed and the price was at least $20 less than the nearest competitor. Arrived in two (2) days with regular shipping (almost unbelievable) and took 10 minutes to install. What a relief. without this part nothing works and this purchase was so simple fast and cost effective I will come back to this store and recommend it to anyone I know needing furnace parts. Thanks!

I needed this part for my furnace. It fit perfectly, was easy to install and my furnace is now quieter than it has been in two years. It was delivered on the date promised. I am very pleased with the service, delivery and quality of the product.

Bolted right up to the furnace as expected. Did need to remember to put the fiberglass ring on the back side to make sure it didn't leak.

When our furnace stopped working at midnight on a Friday, I knew that my usual luck had struck again. On the other hand, my dear hubby is a heating contractor and he quickly diagnosed the problem. I researched the part online and found Amazon to have almost the best price and the best prospects for getting it here FAST! After checking in the morning, he found that this is a special order part for his usual supply house and they couldn't meet the price anyways. More money and more time...no way. So I ordered and paid for 2 day shipping to get it by Tuesday. It came on Monday, went in with no problems and we were toasty again. Maybe next time a client is in a pinch we will try Amazon again!

Not a lot to say here. When I tested out the furnace before the weather got cold the fan was making noise. In a pinch, I could have oiled the fan and maybe lasted a season. But since I had time I called the local supply houses and they were all more money. So I went a head and ordered this. Installation was a snap. And as usual, Amazon shipping was flawless and on time.

I've got this unit(Fasco A 172) in TWO (2) DAYS with free shipping!!It's up and running already,a perfect replacement of an old whisling(bad bearings)unit.Easy to install ,the only thing I did was to add another nut on each of the three motor mounting post,for extra tightness. Total time ,removing old unit and intalling the new one: about 50 minutes.Don't forget to re-connect the (silicone?) tubing from the inducer blower to the pressure switch,if disconnected on either end ,the blower will run but the furnace will not fire up.Save a bundle,do it yourself!I'm a senior citizen with only one good eye ,so I needed a flashlight.Thank you Amazon.

The tempstar part number did not match the Fasco part number but the HP, voltage, and RPM matched. The picture also looked exactly like what I had so I ordered it for around $90. It came in and the only real difference was the wire terminals were attached to the motor. The original had pig tails. It took a little work to get it into place but most of my time was struggling with my exhaust tubing. Be careful with the felt gasket. It came with two sticky back gaskets that fall apart easy. Make sure the sticky part peels off with the felt part. I accidently tore the felt part away by itself and ruined the first gasket. Luckily it came with two. Had it for a month and it is working great. No more loud screaching noises!
