I don't know if I was more excited or my daughter when we first got this kit. It is the PERECT gift to any girl on a birthday and it is now requested that my daughter give as a gift.

You don't put the make-up on your face but on the face paper, so fun!

I bought this for a birthday gift for an 11 year old. I was hoping it would teach her how to apply makeup correctly, however, the makeup is not intended for use on the skin. The kit is to experiment with different shades of color on paper for eyes, cheeks, & lips. It comes with a face-shape guide, a hairstyle guide and pre-printed faces that you apply color to and draw on hairstyles with the included colored pencils. It's kind of like a coloring book, but with real looking makeup. I think she'll like it and will enjoy experimenting with it.

Our daughter saw this at a book fair and fell in love. This make-up kit is not just make-up in a neat, folding box. It also has suggestions on how to apply make-up based on the shape of your face and a sketch pad with differently shaped faces ready for their make-over (small colored pencils included). There are even stencils for drawing differently shaped lips and eyebrows. I wish I had this when I was trying to learn how to put on make-up. Maybe I'll go sneak a peak right now.

I bought this kit as a gift for my niece, who loves art projects and coloring. However, I was a little disappointed when it arrived. There is no outer package around the product, so the inside of the kit had spilled out into the shipping box. The sketch paper pad was completely detached from its backing, and there is no way to re-attach it. The color wheel is not attached to the tri-fold either, although it looks like it should be because there is a little cardboard "pocket" around it that has glue lines on the back. I will still give it to my niece because I don't think she is old enough to recognize the way it should have been put together, but overall the quality of the product was sub-par. There are also no instructions, so I didn't realize the product was not meant for use on the skin (found that out after reading some of the other reviews). Bummer.

My 9 year old received this as a gift and has yet to put it down. She loves creating different looks!!! It's great for travel and even better on those rainy days when she is stuck in the house!! Highly recommended!!!

My 7 year old received this for Christmas and loves the sketches and applying the makeup. The set contains great intructions and many different make up applications. Even the adults were playing with it. Great gifts for girls.

I saw this and knew I had to get it for my 8yr old that loves the play make-up. It is cool. It comes with a pad of paper that has different faces on there. The child can use real make-up brushes with eye shadow and lipstick paints to make-up each doll. My daughter has already done four and has had fun with. Not too messy either. Everything comes in an organized set. The only down side will be to find more paper with faces on it or save some to make small copies until the make-up runs out.

my 10 yr old LOVES this set! she loves it so much that i've bought it as birthday gifts for her friends and cousins.

I purchased similar books for my granddaughters last year and the books were their favorite gifts. They still play with them but the books are just about used up.
