A typical day in the life of a FREEZEPOP song: Liz wakes up at the crack of dawn and begins brewing a fresh pot of lyrics, sometimes innocent, sometimes less-than-innocent, and sometimes in another language and making very little sense. meanwhile, the Duke drops the blippy drums off at school and swings by the cleaners to get the synthpads chorused up for the dinner party. later in the day, the Other Sean is out walking the vocoder and stops by the delicatessen for a fat bass sandwich. later that evening after a long day, the Duke tucks song into bed and goes to read the latest issue of Scientific American. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

You should definetly get Forever first, but if you enjoy synthpop you have to check this out. "Lazy" is as pretty as "Plastic Stars", and has one of the better choruses to come out of synthpop in quite a while. "Shark Attack" is the coolest song anyone's ever written about Wheel of Fortune, and actually has vocals from the Duke of Candied Apples instead of Liz for a change of pace. And it's worth the price of the disc alone for the Lameboy remix of Science Genius Girl that was actually programmed on a hacked gameboy. Delicious...

Just what the doctor ordered. Extremely catchy, Robotron and Manipulate steal the show. My guilt knows no bounds, I like it.

With this follow-up album to Forever, Freezepop proves that they're never out of new ideas and rhythms. The remixes from their first album not only consist of musical changes, but also subtle(and not so subtle) changes in the lyrics and sound samples, which give new life and meanings to the original songs. The new songs, including the excellent Manipulate and its remix, show Freezepop's immense talent and love for their work. A definite addition to your collection if you already own Forever(which I would suggest purchasing first).
