I really needed a sleeve for my netbook and initially I bought a HP NF869AA Mini Notebook Sleeve from walmart for approx. 20 plus tax. While I was satisfied with the functionality of the hp sleeve I wanted something a little brighter than all black so I came on amazon and ordered this one. Aesthetically, for people who like color, this one is better than the hp one but in all else this is way inferior. This sleeve is very thin, no padding at all, and the tree design isn't stitched on like the swirls from the hp sleeve, but laid on top of the fabric. You could literally chip away the design, even accidentally, and definitely if you even attempt to wash it. The stitching is very weak and I swear I think it's going to loosen up and bust apart after prolonged use. The hp sleeve has thick velvet interior padding on the inside and the design is stitched into the front. It's just better made, with superior materials; even the Init sleeve my brother bought is better made.

To be honest I regret returning the hp sleeve to walmart but the only reason I'm keeping this is because the bag I carry my netbook in already has a built-in sleeve for a full size laptop, so I just slip this into the space. This wouldn't cushion your netbook in the case of a fall in fact the only thing this does is prevent your netbook from being scratched as you carry it around. You can find cheaper better looking sleeves that offer much more value.

Do your self a favor and avoid this brand. Period. My best advice would be to go to a store in person, look at the brands that are available and test them to make sure they are well constructed, then come back online and look for a better value on the brand you liked the best at the store.

ps - the extra pocket on the back is also useless. To fit anything in there you have to stretch the sleeve and when you take the stuff out the stretched out pocket is very obvious. The worst part is that the sleeve is so thin, that all the things you put in the back pocket are forced tight against your netbook and there's no cushion to soften the contact between the two parts.

So if you're thinking of buying this... DON'T

Perfect fit for the Toshiba NB205 series - even with the battery attached! There's even some wiggle room. Front pocket has zipper and plenty of room for ac adapter, mouse, etc. Plus, it's cute. :) It doesn't have a lot of padding, but it provides enough protection for what I need.

It's pretty and useful too. I've had it for about 2 years, no wear and tear. Would purchase it again.
