3.0 out of 5 stars Glasses light, comfortable, case is worthless
I recently found out that I needed bifocals. I got contacts instead and my doc said I could use readers over the contacts for the up close things. My reader is a +1.00 and not easily found at the drugstore. I got these because I wanted to be able to toss them in my handbag to keep handy for when I'm out and about. They are extremely lightweight and quite comfortable...

So in a search for replacements I found the Amazon selections at great prices so purchased three different brands. I had two pairs of this brand (Fashion Rimless) and following their use on a long plane flight I realized the screw was loose on one pair and about to lose the ear thingy. My glass repair kit to the rescue, tightened ALL the pairs.

Love the lightweight glasses and the price, but based on my experience and two other reviews, make it a practice to ALWAYS tighten screws upon receipt of ALL brands.

3.0 out of 5 stars Glasses light, comfortable, case is worthless, April 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently found out that I needed bifocals. I got contacts instead and my doc said I could use readers over the contacts for the up close things. My reader is a +1.00 and not easily found at the drugstore. I got these because I wanted to be able to toss them in my handbag to keep handy for when I'm out and about. They are extremely lightweight and quite comfortable. I wouldn't recommend adjusting the temple pieces as they won't fit back into the flip top case. I loved the fliptop case because it was compact and didn't take up a lot of space in my bag...till the top popped off. The case itself is rather sturdy and can tolerate being tossed around in my purse without the glasses being damaged, however the flip top has come off and keeps coming off, even after I've put it back on. Otherwise, they are a good value for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fashion Rimless Spring Hinge Reading Glasses with 2-Tone Pop Top Case, May 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fashion Rimless Spring Hinge Reading Glasses with 2-Tone Pop Top Case (Eyewear)
I think these are a great value. I have paid twice as much for far less quality. I am impressed with the glasses. The case maybe cheap plastic, but for this price I'd rather that the money was going to the glasses, which it does. The frames are good metal with spring hinged arms. The nose pieces are made of good plastic on metal arms. The bridge is also a well made metal. The lenses are properly ground to the prescription and don't seem to scratch easily. I have been carrying them around for a couple weeks in my pocket and I am very happy with the quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quickly Came Apart, February 1, 2010

These glasses quickly loosened in the area near the nose piece where the lens is held...so I would look for another opton if you want glasses that will have regular use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smart buy for people in need of reading glasses, April 14, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I need reading glasses. Lots of them, so I can keep a pair handy all over the place. I purchased 3 and will probably buy a few more because it is nice to be able to leave glasses in strategic places to assure you have them, when you need them. Solid product. Solidly built pop top case to keep the glasses from being damaged or scratched. Store delivered promptly. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Balance between price and quality, November 12, 2009

This product met my expectations. I constantly loose reading glasses. This pair provides a good balance between cost and quality. I have not lost them so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Both Pair Broke within the first 2 minutes - But GREAT customer service!, March 1, 2009
This review is from: Fashion Rimless Spring Hinge Reading Glasses with 2-Tone Pop Top Case (Eyewear)
I recently purchased these glasses which came with two pair. Within 30 seconds of putting the first pair on, a small screw fell out of one of the temples (arms) and caused the temple to fall off. This, as you can imagine was highly frustrating. Then, as I was taking the second pair out of the case they fell on the tile floor. Both lenses CRACKED!

These glasses are poorly constructed and not made for any type of normal wear and tear. DON'T BUY THESE THINGS!!!

I originally left the review above 2 days ago and gave the rating of 1 star. However, when the seller saw the review they reached out to me and immediately issued me a refund. Not only did I get an email reaching out to me, but they called to tell me they wanted to make it right. I was very disappointed in the product, but I was more that impressed with this company's customer service. My rating of 4 now reflects my pleasure with the customer service I received.

I was very happy with how quickly these glasses were shipped, which was important because I had broken my other pair! I love the case. My only minor disappointment was that I chose the red ones & the color is actually like a deep pink - but the case is red. No big deal, I look good in pink, too. ; )
