I was looking for cookbooks that have pictures for almost EVERY recipe and this was one that I flipped through in a brick and mortar bookstore. I was even happier when I got the book. Great recipes, wonderful ideas for brown bagging it, and quick ideas and kid recipes and actual recipes we'll eat with yup, you guessed it PICTURES! I don't know about you, but I am a visual person and want to see the cooked version in picture form for recipes. Now I have this. GREAT!

This book is wonderful. I have recommended it to several of my friends and they love it. Lots of easy recipes that use things that most households have on hand everyday. It is the best cookbook I have ever purchased.

I checked this book out from the library and everything in it was so good I had to just buy a copy. It has lots of "real people" food. Things my husband and family will actually eat. This cookbook doesn't just sit on the shelf, I actually use it and make more than one thing from it.
LOTS of pictures! Love the make it now put it in the freezer for later section and the slow cooker section. Oh, and the chapter on fast weeknight meals. Ok, I like every section.
If you purchase one cookbook this year-this one should be it!

I just received this last week and I really am glad I bought it. I think every recipe in it has a colored photo to go along with it. I'm just one of those cooks who needs the visual thing, I guess. And on almost every page, there are helpful hints and cooking tips that would help anyone. This book would be GREAT for kids or anyone just starting out. There are hints for full menus as well as the usual sections on different kinds of foods. It really is a very helpful book. I'm a bit of an "old timer" and I really like it.

I have other Better HOmes and Gardens Cooking books, and had really high expectations for this book. I admit I did not like how the book was bound - others I owned were binder types and that is so easy to flip through. This one is hard to keep open at a page, plus I don't feel the organization makes sense to me and how I think of cooking. There are no nice dividers and the recipes feel more 'crowded' to me.

I tried a few things from this book, but if I need something quick to whip up, I do not go to this book as I expected I would. I need more planning to be able to use many of these recipes as I rarely have all of the necessary ingredients on hand, and as I need to flip through the whole book to get an idea, rather than a section, I just don't spend the time using this book. Maybe one day it will be more useful to me, but right now, I don't have the time to spend looking at the book enjoy the benefits of it. From what I have looked at, there are many good recipes in this book. I just wish I had the time to use it.

This cookbook is full of really good recipes and lots of pictures. The only down side from MY point of view is the lay out. I prefer when cookbooks have all the chicken recipes in one section, all the beef in one section, all the desserts in one section etc. This cookbook has chapters categorized in the table of contents in a manner I don't like (for example: weeknight solutions, picky eaters, Sunday dinner together, one pan dishes, kids in the kitchen, forget about it, have your cake). I will point out the index in the back of the book does list recipes by ingredient. I do recommend this cookbook because I think overall it has a lot of family friendly, easy and good tasting recipes. If you like lots of pictures you will be happy with this book because I believe every recipe has a picture. My personal preference for cookbook layout makes this cookbook less user friendly to me than others but I am glad to have it as part of my collection.

High recommend. I found this book at the library and there were so many yummy recipes I had to buy my own copy. Easy to follow steps, full colour photos. Tons of recipes your whole family will love from supper to drinks to desserts.

I don't really have time to cook, and therefore, really don't enjoy cooking. That said I LOVE this book.

It's filled with photos, and the recipes are quick and easy as the title promises. Best of all, the recipes I've tried to date have gotten great reviews, and easily fill my focus on cooking healthy meals. I absolutely love this cookbook. I have two young children so I enjoy the quick and healthy meal ideas and the kid friendly ideas that this book has to offer. Out of the 400 recipes I think there are about 300 of them that I'm interested in trying. A rarity! The meals please both my three year old and my husband alike and that's a tough thing to do. Each recipe displays a list of ingredients to purchase and a list of pantry items to help make the shopping list easier. The instructions are clear and simple and I love that each recipe has a photo of the meal. This is the most used cookbook in my house right now. Having an infant and a three year old in the house can make preparing meals a challenging event. But the quick and simple meal ideas in this cookbook lend a hand in reducing the pressure off of meal preparation while taking care of small children. I'd consider gifting this book to a new mother. Love it! Love it! Love it!
