Fast Food for the Soul is my first step into self-help and self-realization books. I reached for this book as I am currently facing some very difficult life challenges. My scepticism regarding this kind of book evaporated at once. Fast Food for The Soul, in a very easy and clear way, explains how the mind works and offers valuable techniques for solving problems. This book provided me with a path to follow to continue my journey of self-exploration. I take Fast Food with me wherever I go. Just a quick glimpse of a significant passage gives me a sense of well-being!

I really liked this book. The chapters are short, the topics make sense. A very positive enlightening way to improve your outlook and spiritual self.
The best part of the book was the Letting Go list, the wish list and the appreciation list. Write it down, and it puts everything into perspective. Sounds so simple, and it is. Such a nice and easy way to look at your life.
A five star read for your spiritual health.

This book fell into my hands by accident, by someone who assured me that it was great and that it would greatly improve my life.
I will leave aside the fact that the book is, in fact, fast food.
It is written in very, VERY simple language and the "chapters" are so short that each one takes you about 2 minutes to read.
Cleverly, the writer twists the fact that she has absolutely nothing to say by saying that "the book is written for busy people, who don't have a lot of free time".
My opinion is that this book is written for naive, desperate people, who are looking for someone to tell them that all is going to be ok.
Basically, Ms. Berger's idea is that if we visualize something, it will become real. Think hard about money, and they will come to you.
Think hard about a good relationship with your gf/family members/empolyer...it will become your reality.
Are you sick? Do you suffer from cancer? Talk to your body...imagine that you are healed...and it will happen.

Occasionally she throws into the pot some pseudo-science terms and connects totally random facts. "Einstein proved that matter and energy are related, so if you THINK about something, it is proven that it will come to you".
This is really a disgrace and personally it makes me sad and angry.

Her expressions "it is proven", "we all know", "we've all heard" without ANY proof of course, is laughable.

She repeats some expressions that I'm not sure if I should start laughing or crying. "The universe and matter as we all know is infinite, scientists have proven that, so why should you not have everything you desire?"
Ok. First of all the universe is NOT infinite. Someone should tell her that. Yes, it's big. Yes, it's beyond the human mind. But it is not infinite.
