Book Description

April 16, 2012

A bloody scandal and its shameless cover-up:

No scandal is more threatening to the Obama administration than Operation Fast and Furious. While other scandals involve money, Fast and Furious involves lives, including that of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, gunned down with a weapon that the federal government put in the hands of Mexico’s narco-terrorists.

As shocking as Operation Fast and Furious was—and this book explains, in chilling detail, just what this operation conducted by the ATF, under the supervision of the Justice Department, entailed—equally appalling is the blatant cover-up of wrongdoing by the Obama administration. No reporter has been more dogged in tracking down the facts about Fast and Furious than Katie Pavlich. In her stunning new book she reveals:
The documents that undermine the White House’s claims of ignorance about Fast and Furious
How Eric Holder, President Obama’s attorney general, has, under oath, repeatedly changed his testimony
The still mounting death toll from Fast and Furious
The retaliation against Fast and Furious whistleblowers
Why Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano might be charged with perjury
The Obama administration’s continuing assault on Second Amendment rights
Why Fast and Furious could be a bigger scandal than Watergate
Unraveling the mystery of what Fast and Furious was all about, Katie Pavlich delivers a stunning indictment of a radical administration willing to trample the Constitution and risk lives to achieve its ideological goals.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING! Intrepid investigative journalist Katie Pavlich rips the lid off Team Obama’s murderous corruption and anti-Second Amendment zealotry. Pavlich names names, explodes lies, and exposes the Obama administration’s reckless disregard for American lives, national security, and accountability at the highest levels. Everything you need to know—and the mainstream media won’t tell you—about the Fast and Furious ‘gun-walking’ scandal is now in your hands. Don’t let these blood-stained bureaucrats get away with it.”
—Michelle Malkin, bestselling author of Culture of Corruption and Invasion

“Of all the Obama administration scandals, Fast and Furious is the one the mainstream media would most like us to ignore because it’s the most dangerous for Obama and his cronies. Katie Pavlich draws back the curtain on a radical administration that put Mexican and American lives at risk for no discernible reason other than to advance an ideological agenda. Katie is a terrific reporter and whistleblower. This is an eye-opening book.”
—David Limbaugh, bestselling author of Crimes Against Liberty and Absolute Power

More About the Author

Journalist Katie Pavlich arrived on the political scene in Washington DC ready to challenge the status quo. As news editor for Townhall.com and a contributing editor to Townhall Magazine, Pavlich has focused attention on topics that many inside the beltway would rather forget or ignore such as illegal immigration, bias in education and the Second Amendment. As a reporter, she has been one of the leading investigative journalists breaking news on Fast and Furious. She is a frequent commenter on Fox News, Fox Business, and MSNBC, as well as on a host of national and local radio shows. Pavlich's deep love of the outdoors and respect for firearms are rooted in the formative experiences of growing up in the mountains of northern Arizona, rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and hunting big game with her father in the forests and deserts that Barry Goldwater called home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone must read this book! April 5, 2012
Format:Hardcover
Everyone must read this book! It doesn't matter if you are a Democrat or Republican, whether you believe in more or less gun control, or are conservative or liberal. Government scandals such as this must not be allowed, especially when they cost people their lives. Reading this book will cause you to experience a wide range of emotions. You feel sadness and frustration at the situation surrounding the death of Agent Brian Terry. This is followed by disbelief and outrage as the facts are presented regarding Operation Fast and Furious. Most shocking was seeing proof as to what the administration, at the highest levels, is doing for political purposes. It is frightening to realize, as the book points out, the incompetence, deceit and unlawful behavior with which the current DOJ and other government agencies operate and the great lengths they will go to cover it up. I was appalled to learn of their lack of concern for human lives. I had to ask myself while reading the book, "Could this really have happened?" But the facts and sources are thoroughly documented throughout the book to prove its validity. The introduction by an ATF Special Agent sets the tone for the book in a realistic manner. After finishing the "body" of the book, don't put it down until you have looked at the appendices. There is a helpful timeline of events and further proof of the administration's efforts to conceal the truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Federal Law Enforcement Disgrace April 6, 2012
Format:Hardcover
While this reads like a good thriller novel it is a tragic journalistic portrayal of arrogance, stupidity and a total disregard for the law and human life at the highest levels of our federal government. Unlike the bungled attempted robbery of Watergate loyal government law enforcement officials have died .The integrity of our government will be dependent on how it deals with those responsible. Watergate has become "Mary Poppins" by comparison. This young journalists accumulation of documentary material and weaving it into a "cannot put down" book is a must read for anyone concerned about ethics in law enforcement and governmental operations. For ATF, the Justice Department, Homeland Security and other federal agencies the fact that innocent Americans and Mexicans would die because guns were allowed to "walk" via blessed illegal transactions [Question one on the ATF form requires the purchaser to certify they are the actual owner of the firearm they are purchasing under penalty of imprisonment for false statements] may be unparalleled in governmental betrayal of honest and dedicated law enforcement personnel . These people fight crime rather than commit it ! Ms.Pavlich does a fine job of assembling complex and diverse information into a book that will both grip and disgust the reader. The level of not only illegal conduct condoned and encouraged by ATF and other governmental agencies makes the book an interesting but frightening read. Yesterday April 5th one of the gunrunners who sold the illegally purchased firearms was given a light sentence in a plea deal. The author creates a convincing argument that it would be a gross injustice to the lives of the American agents who died and those honest dedicated law enforcement officials who came forward despite fear of retaliation if the higher ups were not held accountable in the same manner as occurred in the Watergate .

5.0 out of 5 stars SELLING GUNS TO THE ENEMY April 7, 2012
By APD148
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
Let's cut to the chase: if you want to know the truth about the Obama administration's ill-conceived plan to allow gun sales to Mexican drug cartels, you're going to have to read this book; as Ms Pavlich so conscientiously documents, you sure won't hear it from any of the top officials in the government. Ms Pavlich has followed this story from the beginning, and carefully assembled a compelling case that Operation Fast and Furious was intended to be Obama's casus belli for an assault on the Second Amendment. As a retired law enforcement officer with 40 years experience in local and federal agencies I was skeptical that ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms) would knowingly allow firearms to go out the door with fraudulent purchasers, but testimony and emails from the Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office, as well as a United States Attorney, make it abundantly clear that they not only allowed but encouraged exactly that. Fast and Furious reviews the communications with Attorney General Eric Holder and his top advisors that clearly establish the operation was conducted with his approval.

Ms Pavlich has done an excellent job of turning a tangled web of deceit into a clear and compelling read. There are so many things to recommend this book, but one of the best is the collection of documents grudgingly released under Congressional subpoenas - and how many of them are redacted to the point of obstruction.
