4.0 out of 5 stars Where is the techno song?
Yeah just like Linda I really liked the movie but am looking for that wicked filtered techno track that was playing during the house party scene. I believe the music supervisor for the film was none other than techno artist BT. There was a lot of good music in the film soundtrack, both techno and hip hop.

This is a great compilation CD of just the hip hop songs used in...

2.0 out of 5 stars Missing Songs
Its a rap album of songs that have with little to do the film. The songs that people are seem desperate to seek out are as follows.

Deep Enough by Live (not quite sure from which part of the film!)
Watch your Back by John Barnes (Fight at the beginning)
Debonaire by Dope (Polce raid of Johnny Tran)

and finally

Hope this helps those of you who want a non or slightly less rap version.

1.0 out of 5 stars not the same as the movie music, July 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Fast & The Furious (Audio CD)
The movie was a great "guy" flick, with fast cars, lots of attitude, and pretty, thin chicks. I liked the music during the movie. However, after playing the tunes in this selection, I'm left wondering if this music was used during the movie. Where's all of the techno I heard during the movie. These tunes are slow rap with a bunch of hoarse-voiced rappers. Forget about it.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Fast and the Furious, January 17, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Fast & The Furious (Audio CD)
This is a decent soundtrack if you like a compilation of various rap tunes, but few of the songs from the movie are actually on the cd. I was hoping to get some of those cool techno songs, like from the house party scene, but I was disappointed to find that none of those the techno songs were on the album. The album contains mainly rap songs that weren't even in the movie! I hope another soundtrack comes out with those "extra songs" for those of us who want only the songs that were in the movie....and isn't that the definition of a movie soundtrack?

2.0 out of 5 stars The song everyone wanted to know...., May 21, 2005

This review is from: Fast & The Furious (Audio CD)
This is for the reviewers who wanted to know the song that's playing when Paul and Vin go back to the house after they are chased by the cops. It's "Nurega" by Organic Audio. You will find it on their "Last One Home" cd.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing similar to the film, September 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Fast & The Furious (Audio CD)
I was greatly dissapointed with the soundtrack that came out for this movie. I was expecting something that I could plug into my car stereo and cruise around town. Unfortunately NONE of the techno-sounds were included on the album. What is the purpose to hype up a movie soundtrack with glorious techno and car-screeching noise, when all you get are very slow rap songs. (1 or 2 exceptions)

Rather hit the boards and find the songs or just wait until the movies comes out.

The movie was great and was excited to buy the cd only to be very disapointed. There are no techno beats on the cd that were played in the movie. DON'T BUY THE CD, you will be very disapointed if you are looking for the techno tracs. There are none.

1.0 out of 5 stars Where is the "score" for this movie?, July 12, 2001

The score would contain the music heard throughout the movie, the soundtrack is just a marketing device for musicians these days. I want to hear BT's original score. As I was watching the movie I thought the music was amazing, but I was completely unsurprised to see the "soundtrack" polluted with nothing but hip-hop that wasn't even in the film. If you want the songs from the film, wait for the score (if there will be one released) or wait until the music credits roll after the film and have a pen and paper ready :-)

I saw the movie and loved it, i rushed out and picked up the soundtrack only to find out that most of the songs from the movie i liked werent on the cd. The movie had many good rock songs that didn't show up. The song were Vince was fighting with Brian outside Torretos store was awsome and not there. If anyone knows the name of that song, i would love an e-mail. Overall I am very dissapointed!! Dont buy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but defenitly not the best!, July 19, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Fast & The Furious (Audio CD)
ok, the movie was awesome but the soundtrack. . .well could have been better! i like a few songs on the soundtrack a lot but then others just .... when i watched the movie i was like, wow this movie must have an awesome soundtrack! so right after the movie i went to the local store and bought the soundtrack. when i got home i listened to it once and was like where are the songs that i listened to in the movie?! after a few listens i found i liked like 6 or 7 songs but the rest .... i'm sorry to say. i wanted to hear the music that i heard while watching the movie but it just wasn't happening. if you really like rap and ja rule you'll like this soundtrack a lot. the soundtrack reminded me more of a ja rule record than a soundtrack. i understand that he was in the movie and probably had a big part in making the record but lets find some new artists! the soundtrack wasn't awful but its defenitly not my favorite!
