5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best albums of all-time . . . ., January 6, 2004

This review is from: Fast Moving Train (Audio CD)
I've collected over 5,000 cd's and LP's in my lifetime and this album easily ranks in my top 10 of all-time. The harmonies are beautiful and the songs (all of them) are great. My favs on the album are the title track, river of stone, Sweet Auburn, Long Lost Friend, I've Never Been So Sure, Dancy's Dream and Throw a Little More Coal on the Fire. This was their last full cd before the band broke up (they are now re-united and working on a new release). All of their cd's are great, but this is my favorite. As other people have said, whether you like country, rock, or blue-grass, you'll enjoy this album. A little bit like the eagles, but much better in my opinion. If after the first listen, you don't like it, keep listening and I promise you'll appreciate this awesome band.

5.0 out of 5 stars The songs never age..., March 20, 2002
This review is from: Fast Moving Train (Audio CD)
My favorite songs on this album are, in order: River of Stone, Sweet Auburn, Dancy's Dream and Lady Luck. I love harmony and the feel you get from Restless Heart is more of an experience than just a pure listening session.

I can't believe this was recorded over a decade ago! The album may be country, but it transcends into other genres such as easy listening, light rock, southern rock and even some bluegrass feel. If you like the Eagles, you'll love Restless Heart!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Kings of Harmony....., June 14, 2000

I, for one, think the world is a little sadder for the break-up of this incredible band. I can't give enough praise to these guys. Five of the most talented vocalists i have ever heard. The harmonies here are incredible, clearly evident on "River of Stone" and "I've Never Been So Sure". These guys can make you cry and feel good and everything in between. Guaranteed to have your toes tapping during "Dancy's Dream" and reminescing about that lost love during "Long Lost Friend". Single ladies, and probably some married ones too, "Sweet Auburn" will have you wondering "where are they hiding all the men like that?" My personal favorites? "Sweet Auburn", since i am a single lady myself.... and the amazing "River of Stone", i can never get enough of that particular track. Restless Heart definitely have their own style. Not completely Country, not exactly Pop crossover either, something in between, maybe, but definitely wonderful. The best vocal band in decades.

After listening to this album again after so many years, I'm starting to honestly believe Restless Heart was my favorite country band. The songs are well-written, well-performed, and above all, well-sung. An excellent album AND group!

5.0 out of 5 stars Restless Heart, Restless Mind, October 7, 2004

Over a week ago, the song Fast Movin Train just entered my head over and over. For two days I could not figure out the exact name of the song or even the group that was responsible for it. I asked friends if they knew who sang the song that I only could remember portions of. No one knew what it was. I thought maybe Diamond Rio, Little Texas, or Lone Star. Well for two days off and on I searched Amazon.com for it and found a Very Good used copy of the CD. It was a constant frustration until I found it, thanks Amazon, you always come through.
