Tons of information, tips and excellent photos,

Reading this book is much like sitting at the feed of an old, wise coach. You'll find many of the "tricks of the trade" here as well as many excellent photos of racewalkers using good technique in races.Some of the topics touched upon include: shoes (and how to modify them), various training techniques, judging, and how to race. There are also some informative line diagrams of walkers. This book is NOT a literary masterpiece; the style is conversational and somewhat inefficient (sounds better when read out loud than it reads). But the density of ideas per page is hard to beat!
