5.0 out of 5 stars Like...WOW!!! Get this app! Here's why... March 29, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
If you care about what you eat and occasionally find yourself with no dining choices other than national chain restaurants, you have to give this a try. By law, chain restaurants are supposed to have nutrition information available. In some establishments, it's painful to watch an employee flip through a loose leaf binder with pages falling out trying to locate a particular piece of information.

Here, it's all in one place. Don't let the app fool you. When you scroll through a restaurant's food items, all you may see is calories, but, by swiping to the left, you get the macronutrients plus a few items that are critical to monitor while eating out--sat fat, trans fat, sodium. Another reviewer complained that this app did not make fast food healthy. Okay, so what can? Actually, if you find yourself *forced* to eat in any of the chains covered here, knowing calories, trans fat, sat fat, and sodium will insure that your choices are not entirely toxic.

The true value of this app will be determined by updates, that is, whether other chains are added and the information is kept current. If so, this could be one of the best apps ever offered as the free app of the day.

Added in edit: As noted in the comments, the developers have added Starbucks, and done a spectacular job of it. My s.o. can feel good about her tall, skinny, mochas. I, one the other hand, had better knock it off with the Smoothies!

While also mentioned in the comments, it's worth repeating here that the ability to type in food items in addition to scrolling is a welcome feature. Even a single word such as "tall" (when looking for that tall skinny mocha) can shorten the list of items to scroll through considerably.

4.0 out of 5 stars 50078 g of sugar? March 29, 2012
By Tom

Great app, but some things are not accurate. For Chipotle some things have 50,000+ g of sugar... That's 50 kg or about 110 pounds. I never saw their burritos handed out by a hand truck and its obviously a glitch. Still a really great app with minor mistakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars best health app. for on the run! January 26, 2012
By 45down
this app. has been helpfull in so many ways!!!! at first i thought it was only for drive-thru chain stores but upon looking deeper into it, it's amazing how many places there are in here! its so easy these days to not be aware of whats in your food or what you are doing to your body by just picking out somewhere thats quick and easy to grab a bite to eat on the run, but now with this app. i can REALLY tell how healthy i am eating. i would recommend this to anyone, and certainly for people who travel alot or have kids and are always on the go. i use this everyday and i think you will find out by trying it that you will too.
