Otherwise, it works very well. Installation was simple (although the clearance in the box was almost nil), and it looks just fine.
UPDATE: I got an iPad Mini. This charges it perfectly.
Cons: Pricey, but it's a new product.
Outlets have a hot (+), common (-), and ground. Most outlet boxes will have two hot wires and two common wires, to continue to the next box. On the outlet itself, there is a screw for each of these 5 wires. On the USB outlet, there is only one common screw. They recommend splicing the two commons in the box together with a 3rd wire to run to the outlet screw. There wasn't enough room in the box for all this, so I just clamped both commons on the one screw. This required removing the screw and bending the wires to the exact shape of the screw with needlenose pliers. Home wires are a very thick gauge solid copper wire, so this took some skill and patience. And since my room lighting was on the same breaker, I was doing it all in the dark. I finally got everything connected and bent the wires to properly fit in the box, and was barely able to squeeze it all in. The whole job took about 45 minutes, but it has been working flawlessly for several months. I love the clean look of no wall-warts, and the fact that the USB cords do not drain power when unplugged.
Furthermore, the size was extremely close to not fitting whereas the Leviton outlet went into an identically sized outlet with ease.
Finally, the Leviton outlet seems to be of a higher build quality. This FastMac charger also does not allow for rear entry connections, only side, the face plate is flimsy.
OH last thing. The one I got is NOT the one in the picture. The USB outlets are both on top, on either side of the top outlet, and they are black. The picture shows them on the same side, and they are blue.
I guess I am going to stick with a brand that I know, Lutron/Leviton from here on in.

This thing just rocks. I put it in the plug in my kitchen and there is always something plugged in charging. Hands down this is a great compromise between USB and plugs. Read morePublished 23 months ago by Stephen Wilson
Looks like a great idea but they are large and very hard to install in smaller wall boxes. I bought 2 of these and one stopped working months later.Published on April 5, 2014 by Martin
