5.0 out of 5 stars Good but unnecessary
The cookbook is fine but you'll probably end up not using it if you already have any typical recipes.

Fasta Pasta deserves 10 stars. The book doesn't. The book is a small number of pretentious pasta recipes that have little or nothing to do with the wonderful Fasta Pasta cooker. They're just recipes that could could be made with pasta cooked by any means. The recipes are OK but the price per recipe is very high relative to any first rate Italian cookbook. The direction for creative use of the Fasta are minimal. There is almost no guidance for using this unique gadget for rice, potatoes, vegetables or anything but plain pasta to be added to other ingredients. This book could have been written by someone who had never used a Fasta Pasta.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fasta Pasta capable of so much more, August 28, 2008

I love this product and so far everything I've cooked in it has turned out perfect. I ordered the cookbook hoping that it would give more examples and greater detail. It does give some direction for cooking potatoes and broccoli, but I have seen far more examples of items that can be cooked in the Pasta maker. I was just a bit disappointed that more of these weren't included in the book. Recipes I don't need that much, but ideas for extending the use of the Pasta maker would have been great. I would buy the Fasta Pasta again, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great with the Fasta Pasta Microwave Pasta Cooker, September 13, 2008

This review is from: Fasta Pasta Cookbook (Spiral Bound) (Kitchen)
This cookbook is small, but it has a variety of tasty recipes to keep it interesting and enough to get ideas from. It has recipes for entrees, salads, pasta classics, and desserts. The recipes can be pulled together while the pasta is cooking. This makes it great for preparing quick meals for dinner or making something to take to work for lunch. I bought mine when I bought the Fasta Pasta Fasta Pasta The Microwave Cooker and have been using both of them often.

So far, I have made the:

Cajun Shell Salad - used Old Bay instead of cajun seasoning and have made the recipe using tuna and lump crabmeat both were delicious.

Sicilian Tomato Pasta - skipped the pine nuts, used 2 cups of frozen spinach instead of basil, and sundried tomatoes in oil instead of the roma tomatoes, added grilled shrimp. Fantastic.

Lemon Chicken. I doubled the sauce, used regular sphagetti, added 1 clove of minced garlic to the pan after cooking chicken and before adding wine. Placed the pasta in a serving dish and mixed it with half the sauce, topped it with the chicken, poured the remaining sauce over it, and topped it with about a tablespoon of fresh chopped parsely. A very nice dish.

This review is from: Fasta Pasta Cookbook (Spiral Bound) (Kitchen)
This is a great addition if you've bought the cooker. All meals are ready in 15 minutes or less, from start to finish. They're easy, and really GOOD! I loved the Lemon Chicken- my husband loved the Shrimp Scampi. If you love pasta, you'll love this cookbook!

This is a good product if slightly overpriced for its size (# of recipes). If you don't own a Fasta-Pasta pasta cooker, BUY one right now. It's GREAT!!!!! You'll thank me later.

Who knew such great pasta could be produced in a microwave??? This cookbook is a great accompaniament to the Fasta Pasta cooker, a reasonably priced little gem that cooks pasta perfectly in the microwave with the minimum of water usage (I live in California where we are under water rationing right now, so this matters). I've not had a bad batch of pasta from the cooker yet, and this cookbook has given me lots of inspiration for new recipes. Definitely recommended.

This product is great!! I've bought one for all my kids and they love it. Takes the guess work out of cooking pasta in the micro and the cookbook has a lot of good ideas. I high recommend it. If you look for the buys you can get one for under $12 when buying several. Makes a dandy gift.

Really GREAT cookbook and manual for use with the FASTA PASTA pasta cooker container. This product and the container are just NECESSARY items for any cook or kitchen. They work FANTASTIC, save alot of time and mess. They work with many pastas and steaming situations very quickly and easily. It's the future of steaming and fast prep. I gave this and the container product to my college sons in the dorms. They wouldn't do without them now! Awesome graduation presents and wedding gifts. Spread the news, this is a great item with the cooker that goes with it. LOVE IT.
