GOOD SHOW,
This review is from: Fastball: Live at the Left Bank (Audio CD)
Recorded live in Baltimore in the mid '60s, featuring Benny Maupin on tenor sax and a rhythm section led by Kenny Barron. The tunes run rather long with Echoes of Blue and Willow Weep For Me being virtual full features, start to finish by Freddie. Maupin can be descibed as a toned tone Joe Henderson, which is beneficial when playing sideman to trumpet. Minus a star for sound quality but it's good for me.
