It is so helpful being able to write on the tape measure. No more "was that 5/16 or 7/16, better go back and check" or trying to remember the dimension between phone calls. Good size fits easy in my hand and getting measurements from a tape lying flat is easier than eyeballing it from a wobbly regular tape. You cannot point the tape and hook it like a regular tape, so you move more as you use it, but it means you hook it exactly where you want it first time. Obviously the tape is limp so it has to lie on something with support. The spring on the retract is stronger than anything else out there, it will whip the tape back so fast I reach for safety glasses. I wish I could buy just the tape to attach it to my miter stand and other jigs.

Despite this being a 16-foot measuring tape, and some of pics make it look like there are both US and metric markings, but it is only metric. Works great though, just knocked a star for feeling slightly misled.

Been looking for a good metric tape measure and I saw this one with the flexible tape. Love the tape and the built in pencil sharpener.
The bad: the tape hold mechanism feels like the kind that will break prematurely and the measurement on the back of the tape canister reads 2 3/4 inches, yet the tape is metric

I got this to record measurements of my road bike. Almost everything is metric when measuring a bike so this has been very useful. It is very sturdy and well made.

Its of a very good quality. I am disappointed that it does not have English measurement. A very good tape for folks needing Metric(milli meter, centi meter, meter etc) measurements. Thanks.

The measuring tape is quite well designed, and seems like it would work great for use in the shop, as the flat tape allows you to easily and accurately measure. It would all be great, except for the fact that the measuring tape is metric! Now I probably should have been smart enough to realize that, but nowhere on Amazon does it imply it is strictly metric, and the picture provided by Amazon seems to suggest it has English Standards markings as well.
