Great read, exciting and fun stories!,
This review is from: Fasten Your Seatbelt (Paperback)
I'm not a pilot, but I sure enjoyed this book. Bob Kline's a natural storyteller. He's had some terrific (and some terrifying) experiences, and conveys them so the aviator and non-aviator alike can appreciate them.

A real page-turner...,

Within the first few pages I was hooked. Within a few more I knew that I wanted to buy two more copies to share with friends. "Fasten Your Seatbelt" is excellent advice as Bob Kline keeps us turning pages to find out how each episode turns out, how each problem is resolved. In the process, we also get a real sense of how planes and aviation have changed over the past 50 years or so, with just enough clear technical description to help the non-pilot appreciate the capabilities and limitations of the equipment, and the challenges Bob faced in order to land safely as many times as he took off.
As a writer, Bob Kline also shows the same kind of courage he demonstrated as a pilot: a willingness to acknowledge his own shortcomings and regrets that adds to the integrity and credibility of the account. It allows us to appreciate what Bob was feeling as he lived through these adventures and makes him a more trustworthy narrator. There are plenty of bumps and turbulence in his stories to give us a thrill, but we are in good hands with Bob and he brings us in for a smooth landing. Thank you Bob!

Knowing the author, it was interesting also learning about his training & experiences before meeting Bob. TWA Flight Crews were the best trained & most qualified of all the airlines. I always had full confidence in them. I will always miss TWA. Thanks Bob.
