5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, November 1, 2009
These things are GREAT!

Extremely reliable and STRONG (and reusable too)

I would HIGHLY recommend these for all constructions tasks that require wood to fastened. I've used them for temporary staging, bracing, binding headers & attaching my 50" plasma TV to the wall.

A good electric drill/driver is all you need.

These are FANTASTIC for renters too! You can quickly mount heavy objects to wood studded walls and have very little patching work when you leave.

If Timberlok was smart, they would be looking for ways to include these things in the hardware install kits for all kinds of wall mountable items. Whenever I buy something wall mountable, the included bolts go in the recycle bin and the Timberloks come out.

5.0 out of 5 stars They work great!, July 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently used the 10" fastenmaster timberlok heavy duty wood scrws to construct a treated lumber retaining wall. The screws worked great, each box comes with a nut driver, which is nice, since they do wear out. I went through 5 boxes of these screws

(50 ct. ea box), after driving 50 in, the nut drivers do wear out. Not one screw failed or broke, which is a sign of a quality product in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best fencing screws I've found, July 4, 2011
By

Living on a farm with a lot of wood rail fencing, I often have to build, remove, or move fencing according to our changing critter needs. Over the years, I've tried a variety of attachment methods, including various screws and lag bolts, often struggling with screws that strip out or are that are impossible to use without predrilling holes.

From the first moment I used these screws, I was completely amazed at how easily they go in, as well as the dressy appearance they provide. They zip right into the wood like nothing else I've ever tried.

We generally use them to attach 2x6 rails on 4x4 posts. Occasionally, when we are screwing close to end of a rail, and it is dry and weathered, we pre-drill the rail just to help prevent the wood from splitting, but on newer, greener lumber this is not usually necessary.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE right hardware for landscape timbers, December 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased these several years ago locally but could no longer find them. Thank you Amazon. :)

For landscape timbers they are the best I've found so far. When I needed to re-arrange some of the landscaping most of the old screws were re-usable. YMMV according to Mother nature. I used a 1/2" drill to twist them in (PLENTY of torque) so I'm not sure how well a standard drill would fair, but pilot drilling the holes (if necessary) would be an option.

For building retaining walls, use 8 inch, or for landscaping using these with an impact driver is quick and easy. Just have extra batteries charged for the impact driver as it goes quickly and you will get a lot finished in 1 day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Timberlock Screws, December 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: FastenMaster FMTLOK08-50 TimberLOK Heavy-Duty Wood Screw, 8 Inches, 50-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
I garden and have two raised beds in my backyard. I decided to expand and rebuild the area into one big raised bed. I originally only used pine boards to build the raised beds but decided to use landscape timbers for a more permanent structure. These Timberlok screws were essential to building this large bed and given the uneven ground and occasional warped timber, these screws pulled all the gaps togther at six different points. Worth every penny I paid for them! Can be used for a lot of outdoor projects. I would buy them again and so should you!
