5.0 out of 5 stars -=ShoEboX=- is verystrange, June 26, 2008

This is my favorite Worm Quartet CD. Both humorous and intelligent, with a side of fries. Whoever wrote "I Wanna Wipe A Booger On Dan Rather" is a genius!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The semioticist paradigm of context in the works of ShoEboX, May 11, 2008
By David M. Ross (Lombard, IL USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
If one examines social realism, one is faced with a choice: either accept Sartreist existentialism or conclude that discourse is a product of the masses. Thus, ShoEboX promotes the use of cultural postmodern theory and Dadaist metaphors to challenge class divisions. A number of narratives concerning the very cultural paradigm of narrative may be revealed in the underlying lyrical constructs of "Sonata For Piano And Moron In C Major", for example.

In the works of ShoEboX, a predominant concept is the concept of nipples. However, the characteristic predominant theme of ShoEboX's works is the role of the musician as observer, and narrator to humankind's obsession with semioticist materialism. ShoEboX suggests the use of neomaterial conceptualist theory, with strong Freudian undertones.

It could be said that in "Find The Dead Wingless Legless Fly in Your Box Of Raisins", ShoEboX deconstructs Foucault's Pendulum, although, he examines precultural desemioticism rather than the more cross-societal themes explored by other, less avant-garde commentators. Many narratives concerning the absurdity, and eventually the dialectic, of textual society exist. None capture the essence of post-Foucaultian discourse like this nineteen second treatment.

5.0 out of 5 stars The bad religion of video game punk, October 21, 2009
Yes. Worm Quartet. While shoebox makes some pretty goofy songs, if you listen to the music you'll realize what a genius the guy is. Yeah it sounds like a broken nintendo game but who doesn't love nintendo beats?
