This is a wonderful product! We have two sets (which I highly recommend if you have more than one child) and they have been so much fun! The colors are fantastic and there are so many possibilities for creativity! One of our children has autism and this is one of her favorite toys. She uses them for so many other types of play (putting little plastic animals in each one like a zoo, adding them to her regular wood blocks, etc.)as well as their original purpose. I highly recommend this product for children under the age of 8 or so who are curious and creative! By the way, the review prior to this is absolutely outrageous and has nothing to do with this wonderful product. Fat Brain Toys is an excellent seller and we have been happy with all of our orders from their innovative company! Happy Dado-ing!

I like how open-ended the play is with these little squares. I wish they were a little less flimsy.

These Dado Squares are fun, fun, fun. One thing I'm really happy about is how small they break down. We travel quite a bit, and to take these along really takes up no space at all. They provide a great source of entertainment for both my girls, making little "houses" and "offices" for their dolls.

I bought these for my creative little three year old for Christmas this year and I'm so glad that I did! They are so much fun and many people in the family had fun with them Christmas morning. Both my three year old and five year old daughters have enjoyed them since, making all sorts of shapes and "critters" out of them. :)I don't agree with the previous review of them being flimsy. They seem to me to be made of a very sturdy, durable plastic that will last for years and years. They've been stepped on multiple times with no damage at all. :) My only complaint is that there aren't more in each set. - However, there are still enough to make lots of fun things with --- I may just have to consider getting another set! :)

Update: We've had these for almost three years now, and I just wanted to say that they have held up as well as I'd predicted. My daughter played with these almost every single morning for two years. They've been stepped on, thrown, chewed on, etc. with practically no damage. I've never had one break. These are a wonderful toy for those little architects. I have five children, and not all of them have played with the Dado squares as much as my second daughter --- she is a very mechanically minded child --- but all of them have enjoyed them - as have numerous little and "big" friends. :)

This has received numerous awards so I was intrigued - ordered it for my grandkids and they all love it ages range from 2 yrs to 9 yrs! It is so versatile and inspires the imagination. Awesome - highly recommend!

I recently bought Dado cubes for my two-year-old daughter and she loves them. She also likes playing with similar types of toys (legos, for example), so when I brought these out one day when we needed something new, she was able to play with them by herself for a decent amount of time. As time goes on, she continues to enjoy them!

The slots become just a little loose after a few days. Nothing too bad but something to improve on by the manufacturers.

I have had a set of these in my art classroom for years, so it has been played with by hundreds of kids ages 5 to 12. We get it out as a reward or set it up as a center and 3 or 4 kids at a time can play with the set. It never fails to engage and entertain. They always excitedly show me the structures they invent, and though I think I have seen every possible combination by now, it is always new to them. No one has broken a piece in all this time.

I bought this for my son's class at the request of his teacher and he loves it.
