I have no idea who came up with this idea but it cracks me up. The game is about hiding toppings on bread with cheese so nothing peeks out of the holes! Everyone looks for the cheese that works with their bread at the same time so there's no waiting to take turns. We've played quite a few times and you can't memorize the bread-cheese pairs. We did notice that if you look for where the big hole goes first it makes it a little easier to spot some cheese slices that might work. We also love that the cheese is flexible and made out of foam sheets so it feels kind of like a slice of cheese!

So cute and simple yet hard not to enjoy yourself as you frantically search for just the right slice. It's such an easy concept - cover all the toppings on your board (a slice of bread with toppings) yet I couldn't help laugh (mostly at myself) to find just the right slice of cheese to hide all the stuff, but it's not that simple to get the right fit. No, that olive or mustard showing through a hole doesn't count.
We often found our selves giggling as the slices were checked, rotated, flipped, anything, to find the right one before your opponents found their perfect match. Easy replay with a cleaver theme and fun for a group or family.

Of all the games our 7 and 9 year olds got for Christmas Cheese Louise has not been a very frequent choice to play. May be to elementary for them.

Cheese Louise has slices of bread that have things on them. You have to race ot take slices of holed cheese and place them on the bread so you completely cover what is on the bread. You will only see plain bread through the holes of the sheese.

The concept is very cute and I love it.

However, I do have a few things I would do to improve the game:

First, the cheese are currently made from thin foam. With the prepunched holes in it, I can see these getting torn by kids "racing" to grab them off the pile to try during game play. I would like to have seen the cheese made from plastic instead.

Second, the bread is currently printed on both sides, which is great. It gives you more pieces to use in play. However, there is no way to tell the difficulty level of the cards. We were playing this game with children as young as 5. I would have loved to see some of the bread a different color (maybe a wheat or a pumpernickle) where there were some easier cards for younger players.

Overall, I really like this game, and the kids will enjoy it!
