I got these cubes for my son, before he was even born. I'd been looking at them for months, and finally, I had an excuse to buy them! Within minutes of opening them, they became the favorite toy for my six year old. This toy has won many awards, and now that we have a set, I can see why! Comes in multicolored, or in shades of blue. ( We have the blue.)
The Good:
Endless ways to build.
Because they are open ended cubes, they can be stacked in so many ways. They encourage imagination and help develop spatial reasoning. They nest, they stack, they have been a city, a barn, a parking garage and more. Such a simple toy, yet so versatile.

Made in the U.S.A
Not China. They meet or exceed all safety standards, and you can be sure they won't turn out to be made of lead or recycled primate poo or something.
Durable, yet Lightweight.
As much as I love wooden toys, anyone who's ever been beaned in the head with a handcrafted wooden block can attest to the fact, that in some cases, plastic is a smarter choice. Withstands teething babies and tantrum-throwing toddlers.
The Bad
Small Parts.
I do have to put the smallest cube away until my son is older, as it is a choking hazard.

I bought this set of Dado Cubes after purchasing a multi color set from the Museum of Modern Art.

My grandchildren, ages 4 & 8 both spend many hours playing with these, not only for building (combining the two sets) but turning them into garages, tunnels..using them many ways!

This is a fantastic product!

I bought these for my son's 1st birthday, aware that he was a bit young for them. But he still loves them, using them mostly as stacking and nesting toys right now. The Dado cubes give me something to "play" with while watching my son. It is fun to create ever different formations with them. Then, when my structures are complete, I hide other toys in the various compartments. My son loves finding them, or tucking them in himself. I see many more years of use coming with these, as he learns to connect them. I will probably get at least one more set.
