This CD is the best French rap I have ever heard. Skillfully transitioning between English lyrics and samples into French makes this album an incredible find. The instrumentals alone could make a completely separate album, especially with songs like A La Poursuite Du Billet Vert.

The occassional skits are slightly annoying, but for all intents and purposes this album employs great instrumentals, great rhyming, great guest stars, and great production to make the best French rap album ever. Also check out MC Solaar and IAM if you're into French rap.

These guys place some fat beats with great vocals. I'd definitely recommend this album or their first album...the styles are a bit different but still fun.

No Limites and 5 heures du mat (2 of the best songs on the album, along with Star Track, L'enfant doit vivre, and the other songs listed by the previous reviewer) were getting major airplay in Paris when i was out there on vacation.

Some other great french rappers are IAM, Raggasonic and NTM

Fat Come back is definitely different from the first CD Simple & Funky but Fat Come Back is all that. This one was co-produced by De La Soul. They along w/ Biz Markie, Common, Kamel and Youssou N'Dour make guest appearances on this CD that are really tight. Alliance Ethnik is definitely one of the best hip-hop groups on the planet. Songs I like are: "A La Poursuite Du billet", "Tu Sais Quoi", "Creil City", "Jam", "Wake Up", "Je Ne Regrette Rien","5 Heures Du Mat", and "Un Enfant Doit Vivre". Okay, I like most of the Damn CD.

Just about all of the songs were worth listening to, made especially so because of the musical variety Alliance Ethnik manages to incorporate into their music. Much better than the few songs I heard off of their earlier album. I especially liked the track featuring Youssou N'Dour singing in Arabic.

Alliance Ethnik is so tough on this effort. They even have their own Yankees Abroad program w/Common Sense on "JAM" and De La Soul on "Star Track". Those are two of the five must listens on this album. Others include "A La Poursuite du Vert Billet", "5 Heures du MAT" and "No Limites". Check out the wicked beats on the breaks between a few songs and you'll understand why Alliance Ethnik's "Fat Comeback" is a must have.

Well, basically, if you like phat beats then this album hits the bill. Many Americans seem to be put off that most of the rap is in French, but you're missing out on a treat if you pass up on this album.

Star Track with De La Sol is one of the best songs I've heard in a while, and it's a pity that it doesnt get any air play on the radios.

Moi, j'suis des USA et j'étais étudiant d'échange en France l'année dernière. C'était en ce temps là où j'ai eu l'occassion d'éxperiencer la musique d'Alliance Ethnik. Je les ai vus en concert à Lyon et c'était superbe! Je respecte bien leurs efforts artistiques de mêler le style américain. Je préfère quand même les chansons suivantes: NO LIMITS, L'ENFANT DOIT VIVRE, 5H00 DU MATIN ET FAT COMEBACK. En fin, l'album me suffit car aux USA, il est difficile de trouver de la bonne musique francophone! Bon, allez, j'y vais: Ciao!
