4.0 out of 5 stars None better
For quite a while I've been looking for wide loaf pan with straight sides. If you've ever seen Aunt Millie's "hearth" breads you know what kind of shape I have in mind. This pan is the closest thing. The sides are not quite straight - it is about quarter inch wider on top then it is on the bottom, and it is nowhere near promised 2 3/4" in height, 2 3/8" is more like it,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't do it !
Just received this pan and what a bummer. It's way too thin, poorly machined and wavy it had dimples and ridges and ripples (Oh My)!! Seriously though it is quite bad. The "rolled" edge isn't even completely rolled at the corners, my mother cut herself on one while inspecting the pan! I went to return it and for being such a good customer (buy a lot return almost never)...

For quite a while I've been looking for wide loaf pan with straight sides. If you've ever seen Aunt Millie's "hearth" breads you know what kind of shape I have in mind. This pan is the closest thing. The sides are not quite straight - it is about quarter inch wider on top then it is on the bottom, and it is nowhere near promised 2 3/4" in height, 2 3/8" is more like it, but it fits the bill. The construction is not particularly sturdy - it is made of 1 mm aluminum, so I expect it will get its fair share of dings with time. I also would not dream of baking bread in it without thoroughly greasing the walls - just for a test, I left an ungreased spot the first time I used it and had hell of time extracting the bread from the pan. One other thing to note is that it is slightly smaller than regular 9x5 pan, 55 vs. 64 oz, so some recipes might need to be adjusted.
So this loaf pan has its issues, but all in all I am pretty happy with it.

I bought this pan to make meatloaf. It worked great. My wife saw it and actually likes the pan as well. This could be a first, I bought a pan and she likes it.

The "rolled" edge isn't even completely rolled at the corners, my mother cut herself on one while inspecting the pan! I went to return it and for being such a good customer (buy a lot return almost never) Amazon did not require me to return it and gave me a full refund (YAY! Amazon!). I still felt compelled to write a review since this pan is just that BAD!! It irks me to look at it free or not.

When I received, the pans, I thought they too light. I've used it once, it worked good. Material and construction are good. Since it anodized and have no coating material, contrary to pans available in supermarkets this one not leaving any marks/prints on brad.
