5.0 out of 5 stars The real stuff about eating disorders!, November 9, 2008
This review is from: Fat Is a Family Affair: How Food Obsessions Affect Relationships (Paperback)
This writer has been there, done that, is truly an expert on the subject. And she has genuine academic credentials. Besides that, her writing is exceedingly readable. A fresh look at addiction; relevant for all kinds of addictive behavior. Unlocks some real hidden data that resides inside people suffering from eating disorders.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, July 27, 2010
This review is from: Fat Is a Family Affair: How Food Obsessions Affect Relationships (Paperback)
I found this book to be especially helpful in using assertive techniques. The author is quite knowledgeable about eating disorders and some of the psychiatric issues that accompany eating disorders. It would be a helpful book for anyone who is struggling with overeating, chronic dieting, binge eating or even anorexia. I would recommend that family members read it for a better understanding of what is helpful and harmful for those who struggle with eating disorders.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second chance at life, November 22, 2011

This review is from: Fat Is a Family Affair: How Food Obsessions Affect Relationships (Paperback)
This wonderful book gave me a second chance at life. It really hit home in so many ways and got me moving in the right direction at 56 years old. It's too late for most of my family because they have passed away, but I am taking the advice of this marvalous book to heart. It's a fast, easy read and I have and will suggest it to everyone that has fought with a weight problem.
