I just finished the first nine days (phase one) of the diet and have alreay lost 8 pounds! I followed the fruit and vegetable menu to a tee and incorporated oatmeal every morning along with legumes in my salad for protien. I did not find myself hungry at all consdiering you are allowed to eat as much fruit and veggies as you like!

This book has really been a great asset to my goal of wieght loss. It has helped me tremendously. I am learning a new healthy way of eating. Its not just a "diet", its a life change. You have to be willing to make that change for this "diet" to work for you. Give it a shot. I have lost 10 lbs and I just started Phase II.

...is what this book might also be called. My only criticism is the word "diet" in the title. I HATE that word as I have bounced from one diet to another my whole life. After reading this book, I really didn't get the sense that this was a diet but rather a smart way to feed your body to lose weight.
I also am just beginning Phase II and have already lost 17.5 lbs :-) I've also been drinking the new Wu-Long tea (WulongforLife.com) and really feel this tea is helping me lose even more weight. I'm excited that I'm finally beginning to see the results I've been waiting for, for so long. And I'm even more excited by the fact that I really feel this is something that I can stick with for life!!

This is a great way to get started in a whole new eating lifestyle. I am on the DAY 8 of Phase 1 and I lost 6.6 pounds and only been to the gym once.NOT SAYING THAT IS GOOD BUT... I plan for the numbers to get higher I just need to kick up my workout. I am happy I have finally found something I can stick to. I love Dr. Ian for creating this.

I am only on my fourth day of phase I, and I have already lost about 4 lbs.!! I'm not even missing the meat. I have enregy all day day long, and don't have to go hungry. I can see how this is a plan that can change the way you eat for life. For a while I have been trying to find a way to get most of the processed foods out of my diet. And with Dr. Ian's book, I think I have finally accomplished it. I read his last book and supplement some of my workouts with Harvey's (from celebrity Fit club) workout DVD. There's a reason all those celebrities drop punds like crazy. Buy this book!

I bought the book and started a few days after. I am on my 7th day of detox and have already lost.... (drumroll).... 8lbs!!!!!
I have tried other programs which were very costly and for less than 15 dollars I have finally found one that worked. This is truly a healthy start to reaching my weight loss goals and I look forward to my continued success with Dr. Ian's great book..... so I encourage everyone trying to drop the pounds to buy this book. Then as Dr. Ian say's GO SMASH IT!

I liked this book because it teaches good eating habits through its four phases, as opposed to putting you on a crash diet with the potential of re-gaining the weight when you're done. I've also seen reviews on other sites stating that ONLY veggies and fruits are allowed in Phase I, which I think would be an unhealthy amount of calories, resulting in a decreased metabolism. Phase I DOES ALLOW and encourage good sources of protein, and I would say that it is a sufficient amount of food to keep your hunger pangs at bay, as well meets daily caloric intake requirements if you choose your meals properly.
A lot of it is common sense (portion control, more veggies and fruits, exercising is necessary, etc.), but sometimes we just need that extra motivation and push to get started. I knew a lot of the info in the book already, but the structured plan is making it easier for me to transition into a healthier eating lifestyle.

I think that the concept of the diet is great. I have lost 8 pounds on phase I and I am moving into phase II without a real need to immedialtely add meat into my diet. I do believe that this diet will work if you do not cheat and stick to the program. With that said the book does have some errors and it does leave some questions about what you can and cannot eat but for the most part if you have some doubt you probably shouldn't eat it. I am interested in starting/joining a support group of fellow fat smashers. Anyone interested in joining a group should try this link.

I've tried many diet books and this is the best diet book I've ever read. It makes sense and it lets you eat real food and there aren't any gimmicks! I'm so happy I bought this book. Finally I have the answer to my lifetime weight loss problem!

THIS DIET IS EASY, SIMPLE, REAL, AND EFFECTIVE. I ORDERED THIS BOOK AND STARTED THE PROGRAM ONCE I GOT IT! IT HAS BEEN A PLEASURE TO FOLLOW. I'VE LOST 5 POUNDS IN JUST 7 DAYS. I'M HEADING TO PHASE II VERY SOON!
