This CD is only half an hour long, but worth it. Jarre does a frighteningly convincing job of transferring Glenn Close's pursuit of Michael Douglas into sounds. I recommend it to all males who might be experiencing similar, but hopefully less intense, situations in their lives. Now you have background music for the conflicting emotions inside of you.The minuses of this CD are definitely outweighed by the pluses, but it is worth mentioning that even though six tracks are listed on the label, this CD actually has fourteen tracks, eight of which are unlisted. I'm guessing that this soundtrack was still available on LP and cassette tape long before CD, as the label still lists a Side A and Side B. Therefore, watching the movie first and then playing the disc while the sound is fresh in your head is highly recommended.

Yes, like the 1st review says, this would have been perfect if it included Madame Butterfly. Other than that, extremely scary music. It's like, you would be listening to this real soft but kind of eerie stuff and then...Pow! The music just goes to this shrill synthy sound, just like the movie. Excellent Soundtrack!

Great Soundtrack,

This was a great soundtrack to the 1987 blockbuster thriller "Fatal Attraction". If only they would have included the opera music from Madama Butterfly, it would have been perfect. It contains the piano version of the Madama Butterfly Fatal Attraction, but not the vocal opera singing heard during the dinner scene. The music is intense and scary. It literally takes you on a heartpounding journey into Michael Douglas's terrifying situation with the borderline psycho woman played by Glenn Close. Contains the music from every scene, including the violent kitchen scene where she cuts herself and tries to stab Douglas with the butcher knife, the boiling pot scene, the rollercoaster scene, the brutal bathroom scene where she terrorizes and tortures Douglas's wife, and many more... Great for Halloween/scary music.
