5.0 out of 5 stars An underappriecated little gem of a movie!, November 22, 2010

This review is from: Fatal Charm (DVD)
Its a shame that this film is so little known or appreciated.

The plot revolves around a teenager- Valerie( Amanda Peterson)who doesn't know how to vent or deal with her emotions and gorgeous , charming young inmate Adam Brenner(Christopher Atkins) just convicted of raping and murdering 6 women and sent to death row to await execution.

Valerie becomes interested in Adam during his trial and attends a few courtroom sessions. Convinced that he is innocent, she begins writing him and they strike up a correspondence and her obsession with Adam continues to grow.
When unexpected circumstances provide Adam with a chance to escape from prison, Valerie ends up with some surprising and potentially deadly consequences to her infatuation.

Both Atkins and Peterson give quality performances as a frustrated , idealistic teenager and a charismatic golden boy with a very dark side.
I thought that Peterson's performance was especially realistic.

Lar Park Larkin has a good turn as Valerie's popular, shallow best friend.

The story is taut and interesting with a lot of suspense.

And as a plus for anyone looking for eye candy the two leads are both extraordinarily attractive.

Christopher Atkins is almost as beautiful here as he was in "The Blue Lagoon".
