Poor product quality does not justify the price,

I have had the lime-green fatboy hammock for one year now. It is outside on the patio, but under a roof. The steel tube stand didn't look too great when it was brand new, now it is rust covered and looks pretty ugly. The crude stitching of the hammock's segments looks cheap, unprofessional - like it was made by a person without experience with a commercial sewing machine.The 'stain resistant' fabric works well indoors (where I had it for 2 months), outdoors it requires frequent cleaning. The fill material (padding) which makes the hammock appear 'upholstered' looks nice when new, after one year (of light use!) it looks like it is not attached to the fabric (as in, e.g. a quilted blanket), so you see lumps and bumps at some places, and no padding at others. I expected a lot more from this product. After one year it's ready for the trash, at 400$ that means it costs me more than 30$ a month: I wouldn't buy it again :-(

Good if you live in the desert,
By Calvin Rankic "caweiss22" (NY,NY) - See all my reviews

I purchased the Heddemock Hammock and the set up was easy, hmmock was comfortable. so far so good... until it rained. About 4 DAYS after it rained, I went to sit on the hammock and got soaking wet. I called the company to see if maybe I received a defective product as it is labeled water resistant and I was told, get this, the hammock is water resistant, but THE STITCHING IS NOT, SO I SHOULD BRING IT INSIDE IF IT RAINS. I swear this was the response. Needless to say I don't want to have to check the weather report to see if my hammock needs to come inside. I have better things to do. Avoid this product unless you live, where it doesn't rain or plan on using it inside

Rest and rust,
By
This review is from: FatboyHeaddemock, Turquoise (Lawn & Patio)
The headdemock itself is a nice place to rest. Unfortunately it is hampered by a lot of rust in my case only in the middle part, so it looks like a manufacturing error. Customer service tells me the model was discontinued 4 years ago. However, I bought it new one or two summers ago, and now I see it is still sold. So also a big minus for customer service.Update: I received a new stand from customer service. It is black now and probably different material as the original silver stand, which is fine by me. So make sure if you buy one the stand is a recent one. It is expensive enpugh. I upped the review to three stars, and if it had been like this in the first place, it would be four stars. 2115|R3N53DJE5TLABO;2115|RZ4J0PXPAHO5J;2115|R22B3NKP4S30B7;
