Book Description

When twenty-four-year-old Tiffany escapes her sister Kammy's too wild Cancun bachelorette party, she finds herself in a bar with the unwanted attention of a gorgeous local named Luke.
Luke may be charming but Tiffany is leaving in two days and doesn't need any complications. But complications are exactly what she gets when the cops show up to raid Kammy's party. When Kammy is arrested, Tiffany agrees to have dinner with Luke, so he'll help her get Kammy out of jail. Kammy's arrest forces her to spend an extra day in Cancun, meaning she'll miss a crucial meeting, and as an accountant in tax season, she is already drowning in work. Not to mention, every second she spends with Luke makes it harder to leave. With Luke, Tiffany is almost ready to forget about work.
Will the airport be their final goodbye?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Surprise December 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This story was a pleasant surprise for me. First of all, I think this would be classified as a novella or short story--you will not invest a great deal of time in reading it. It is less than 50 pages! And usually I would mark a book down for being so short because most authors cannot write a well-developed story in such a limited number of pages. But you see, I had never read Beth Fred before. I believe this author is amazing! She packed so much into a short story that I forgot I was not reading a regular romance novel.

The things I love about this book are quite numerous. This book has it all--the upright, uptight older sister; the bad girl younger sister; the romantic hero; a beautiful Mexican setting; even a bit of mystery and chance meeting. There are no sex scenes, and the profanity is practically nonexistent (if it is even there at all). I loved the story, and I could see this becoming an actual full-length romance novel and not spoiling the charm of the story. I love to see two characters with morals--it is so rare in this day and age. And it never came across as being sappy.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great travel read! March 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a quick and fun read. In fact I read the whole thing while sitting in the air port waiting for my flight.

I felt for Tiffany as she struggled to deal with her obviously pampered and spoiled rotten sister. She sort of frustrated me because she let her family walk all over her. I think that's one reason I liked Luke right away. He was the true knight in shining armor coming in to defend and protect her. Even from herself.

I loved where this ended up. It was the perfect travel read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet, quick read February 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is such a sweet romance. Tiffany doesn't have time for love. She's been burned in the past and is focused on her career and cleaning up her younger sister's messes right now. But when she meets Luke, things change. She can't ignore him, especially when he comes to her rescue. Tiffany is tough and isn't used to guys helping her out like this, but Luke's good heart breaks through the walls she's put up. If you like a good romance, The Fate of A Marlowe Girl is a great, quick read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Fate of A Marlowe Girl February 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
When I saw the cover of Beth Fred's book When I saw the cover of Beth Fred's book The Fate of A Marlowe Girl, I was intrigued. I picked up the book during my lunch time intending to read a couple of pages and I ended up reading the entire book! I decided to do a book review in case some of my readers are avid readers.

This book will appeal to everyone on different levels. From the single girl waiting for her prince charming, to the desperate housewife wistfully wishing for a life of romance! The book The Fate of A Marlowe Girl appealed to me as a reader because the characters are realistic and well developed. These characters could be anyone you or I know. The story line is also very easy to follow. The book The Fate of A Marlowe Girl also offers adventure, romance and intrigue.

In the sandy beaches of Cancun, Tiffany meets a stranger who arouses powerful latent feelings that she had buried with her failed past relationship. The main character Tiffany is a conservative good girl unlike her wild party girl younger sister. When trouble threatens in paradise, a mysterious stranger helps her navigate a foreign land while kindling the fires of romance. The final twist in the story line leaves the reader satisfied and waiting for more books by Mrs. Fred!

A quick little love story...strangers fatefully finding each other. I liked this story a lot. It is a standalone story. I read it in apprx 1 hr. It's only about half as long as a regular novel but it's an easy and enjoyable one.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was good.. December 17, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was very fast paced. I do wish there were more details and maybe a few pages added in where we got to see them fall deeper in love, but it was still really cute. I do not like her sister but I am hoping she will redeem herself in her own book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well done shorter story October 29, 2013
By Minda
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've come to find I'm not a fan of the short story or "novelette" in general when it comes to a romantic story line. I feel relationships, to be believeable, have to be much more complex than what you can typically fit into anything briefer than a full-length novel. However, I found this to be the exception. I quite enjoyed this story, though it be a little far-fetched (that's the joy of a good story sometimes!). Only one part of one scene towards the end kind of ruined the magic of being sold out on the plotline altogether for me.
I found this book through the Christian Romance section. I'm not sure it's properly catergorized as such though. I don't know how it qualifies as "Christian" in particular.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet read August 3, 2013

What would you do if your sister 'demands' that you throw her a bachelorette for her wedding to the man she stole from yo then proceeds to wreck the hotel room you paid for, for her party? I would leave her in that Mexican prison to rot (for a week. she is my sister). But I love things worked out for the best and she finally got her prince, muy caliente principe!

More About the Author

I'm a full time ELF keeper and part time writer/blogger/writing instructor. I like my tea hot, my romance sweet, and my guys chivalrous. Real men hold open doors, refer to you as ma'am, make promises they keep, and aren't afraid to profess their undying love. It's not breakfast if there aren't carbs(at least, not in the South). Fajitas, carnitas, and churros are just few of my favorite things. Bet you can't guess where I'm from ;)
