Minor spoilers ahead.

I love this book. I was truly impressed with the plot, the characters, even the fact that the Kayolin dwarves were moving to invade the mountain kingdom of Thorbardin. I've always been a fan of black-robed wizards, so Willim the Black was a great, intimidating character.

One small nit for me was that Gretchan needed to wield her anvil-topped staff in order to commune with her god. This seems a tiny bit inconsistent seeing as how clerics in other series were simply able to pray to their deities to gain strength or to cast their clerical spells. Not really that big a deal, but again, a tiny inconsistency.

All in all a great book! bring on more, Wizards of the Coast!

This is truly a great book! The newest and one of the best. The Dragonlance world is the greatest fantasy world there is. Too bad there are no other new Dragonlance novels or trilogies planned for publishing in 2010.
