Book Description

Arianna Broun, a Scottish born colonial American has been haunted by the reoccurring dream of a phantom Scottish warrior. Her infatuation with the dream intensifies until All Hallows' Eve, when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. After several bizarre encounters she runs to her safe haven deep in the woods. When dawn comes too early, Arianna is eager to go home. But fate has other plans.

Laird Iain MacLomain has long awaited the arrival of his promised bride. She claims to not be the woman intended for him but she fits the description given him of her, all fire and defiance. That defiance will end up costing them everything and rips them apart. However, a Scottish Chieftain with magic at his disposal is capable of most anything. Will he hold Arianna in his arms again or is she lost to him forever? Only time will tell.

This novel contains strong sexual content and is recommended for a mature audience.

"Purington has done a wonderful job bringing this story to life. I found it hard to put down and it made me wish for my own Highland Laird to come and sweep me off my feet and into a time where I could be loved for who I am." Dianna ~Night Owl Reviews

While The King's Druidess is a short Celtic story, Fate's Monolith (The MacLomain Series- Book 1), Destiny's Denial (The MacLomain Series- Book 2) and Sylvan Mist (The MacLomain Series- Book 3) are full length novels. In memory of Sky's beloved father, marketing manager and best friend, all will continue to remain at a reasonable price. He would have expected nothing less.

Please NOTE: This is a re-launch of titles published years ago. The stories have been revised and tightened. And as aforementioned, the sensual heat level for all four has been turned way up.

Outside of The MacLomain Series. Recently released: HIGHLAND MUSE. Love, humor and 16th century highlanders. This title is priced at .99 cents for a limited time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love those MacLomain men July 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I first read and enjoyed this book back in December '11.

Having recently read the prelude book,'The King's Druidess', and learning about the 3 rings, I had to reread this and get the other 2 books in the series.

The second reading of this story was as enjoyable as the first reading.
Very good story that caught and held me throughout.

Great characters that were so well described I had no trouble getting a mental picture and feel for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING STORY TELLER! October 30, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Ms. Purington surely knows how to weave a magical tale with such fascinating and intriguing characters I've never met before in all my days of reading fiction. Her writing is so fluid, so hypnotic. I looked forward to escaping everytime I picked up my Kindle. This is an author who will always be on my Buy First list. Now to read to rest of the books in the series. What a wonderful thought!

4.0 out of 5 stars Covers are cheesy but the stories are great!!!! July 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
On a whim, I downloaded all 4 of the MacLomain Series books while they were free. Little did I know that for the next five days I would be permanently attached to my ipad reading! I really enjoyed the stories! They were a bit confusing at first, as all the books are intricately interwoven, but all questions were answered eventually and I marveled at how everything fit together. The stories flowed nicely, and I really connected with all of the characters.

I'm fairly new to this genre, I usually gravitate towards YA, and really have never been attracted to the He-Man Alpha Male types, but after reading Fate's Monoith, I have to say I rather enjoyed it. Sadly, by the end of the series, I saw my 6'1" nicely built husband as rather a wimpy sort! :) Ha!

I will look for other books from this author! And I will recommend this to my friends.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh my stuborn........... December 22, 2012
By max
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Just gotta love a highlander! The are huge, handsome & ubber sexy.......and stubborn. But that is ok, since his modern miss is just as stubborn and a perfect mate for him. I loved the both Arianna and Iian, they remind me solo much of Ms. Kurland's De Pagiet men and their women. This was my introduction to Sky Purington and I know I have discovered a friend in her books. I liked that even though Iian refused to believe Arianna,he showed her the "magic that is her" and she loved him anyway. This was an amazing story and a true keeper as well as a frequent read, I suspect.

3.0 out of 5 stars Different March 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This ebook was different than what I expected. That being said, I thought the author used wonderful words to describe certain things. I didn't enjoy this book like I thought that I would. I think it meant a lot more to other people, but I just wasn't one of them. I highly applaud the author for using her imagination, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great series December 21, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It is difficult to come up with a new review after reading the prologue to the series. It was hard to put down. The characters come alive in each of the books I have read in the series.
