5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the greatest gospel rap album i've ever bought in my life!, July 20, 2006

This is really west coast christian rap at its finest. It's sad that this guy is not getting more attention for this album because this album is off the hook! There's not 1 bad song on this entire album!!! Sevin, Who bears a strong resemblance to Snoop Dogg and who sounds a lot like Nas and The Game on this album, Does a fine job with the songs on this album. The production is off the chain, The beats are excellent, and The lyrics are very well rapped. The best songs on the album are ''Heathinz Tearz'' [Must-be heard best song on the album which features very dope lyrics by sevin and has an extremely nice east coast-type beat], ''Away we go'' [Nice slow rap song about death], ''I Wonder'', ''In Jesus name'', ''Theropy'', ''Greatest fear'', ''By your side'', and the title track. I will admit that for a christian rap album, It does tend to focus on self sometimes rather than god [Songs like ''Step it up baby'', ''Tha greatest'', and ''Let's go'' are prime examples of this], But i forgive sevin for that being that we're all guilty of that one way or another. But i will issue this word of warning: The lyrics are a bit more harsher on this album than on the average christian rap album and Sevin does use the N-word quite regularly on this album so if any of that offends you, You might not wanna pick up this album. But other than that, If you're a christian who loves harder-edged christian rap acts like Gospel Gangstaz [Tikk Tokk does make an appearance on this album] or T-bone, There's no doubt in my mind that you'll love this album to death. I really don't see why some of these songs don't get radio airplay. Maybe it's only because Sevin is christian. Get this album now!!!!! Hope the review helped. be blessed.

Sevin speaks the TRUTH. This album talks about some deep issues in life that many people could relate to. I cant believe that Sevin is gettin Slept on so much!!!! I had a chance to meet this guy and he is hella koo. I actually had to go to his apartment to buy one of his cd (EVIN ANGELZ KRY), but it was all outta love. If you want to listen to real rap then listen to SEVIN!!! Im from Sac so I gotta support local rap. Keep spittin Sevin, and put Sacramento on the map!

Best tracks on the album:
Black woman
muzik 101
Heathinz Tearz

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Very Best, August 29, 2008

This is my favorite rapper from the West Coast, and one of the few rappers on the whole planet that I listen to, over the last decade my brother and I would play his tapes on repeat over and over. There were at least 3 albums before Father Forgive Me and they were all classics, but this one is up to par for sure. Just try the Theropy or Away We Go tracks, they were the last songs my bro and I listened to before he passed away so they hold a sacred spot in my own life. Being raised just a couple miles down the street from where Sevin is from was how we were listening to him way back when as well. This is West Coast slumpin' music in a genuine West Coast style, and is great music too, something of a rarity these days. 5 out of 5, glad to see you're putting NorSacto on the map Sevin and congratulations on finely making it to the stream main. The people living in darkness have seen a great light, for those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned, Matthew 4:16.
