#9 IN THE MONTANA MAVERICKS SAGA - DR. KANE HUNTER,
By
This review is from: Father Found (Mass Market Paperback)
I wondered how his story would turn out -Dr. Kane Hunter, 35 - Native American working in Whitehorn's hospital and on the res helping his people. Homer Gilmore is a sixty some year old prospector and hermit - more-so since his wife left him taking their daughter, Moriah with her. Now he is among the missing. No one has heard from him and he has missed two meetings which is not normal. Kane and Rafe has looked after Homer off and on over the years. Kane called Moriah, 34 in Great Falls, Montana to tell her she is responsible for looking for her father. Moriah is under the impression that her father had abandoned her and her mother. The problem is that she has a near 16 year old daughter and is very leary of taking Melanie to Whitehorn. Will the people wonder who Melanie's father is? Kane has been seeing Lori Parker Bains [her story is up next in Baby Wanted] and is wondering about asking her to marry him. He wants a family. The trouble is that Kane is thrown into Moriah's and Melanie's space quite a lot and they become emotionally charged. Will Moriah tell Kane her little secret and bring about an understanding about the past? Or has it gone too far? Also threaded through is Mary Jo Kincaid with her own secret plot. She wants the sapphires. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED along with the whole set as a wonderful bunch of characters wend their way through your imagination and bring Whitehorn alive. |
