Book Description

April 2000 0935652523 978-0935652529
Father, Son, and Healing Ghosts is a story of soul work, of finding one's self and of healing lifelong wounds. Employing the rich Jungian symbolism from the movie "Field of Dreams," as well as his own experiences with Jung's philosophy, Anthony T. Moore explores the pain of losing his father before he had the chance to get to know him. Moore discovers the ultimate reward of finding his father in a place most permanent—within himself. His work helps you understand the importance of rediscovering or reinventing your purpose in midlife. This story illuminates those journeys many of us take toward finding ourselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book helped me on many levels, December 9, 2004
This review is from: Father, Son, and Healing Ghosts (Paperback)
This book spoke directly to me, both as a fan of Field of Dreams and as a person whose father contracted a debilitating disease during World War II. Like the author, I did not know how to deal with the sense of loss after my father's death. Moore laid out a plan of action to heal my body and soul. Following the groundwork he provided, I was able to learn about the missing pieces of my father's, and therefore my, life. The author made the relevant parts of Jungian philosophy easy to understand and symbols I would not have noticed seemed to jump out at me. I now fully appreciate the love my father had for me and my mother, and I will continue to provide that same love to my family
