Father Moo & Black Sheep - self-titled (Swordfish), June 10, 2010
This review is from: Father Moo & The Black Sheep (Audio CD)
In reality, this looks to be a Kawabata Makoto solo effort. First released in 1998 as a very-limited CD-R pressing then later was given the vinyl treatment. Then after that - the Swordfish label reissued it as a little-easier-to-find CD title. This three track disc really S-M-O-K-E-S! Each cut is untitled - 1) runs 11:54, 2) runs 29:34 and 3) duration is 5:06. I will tell you that I heard this CD just once and I do wish to purchase at an affordable price. Each cut here serves it's purpose well - as it offers the listener(s) a good dose of the out-there Japanese full-throttled psychedelic vibe, droning and freak-out guitar as only Makoto can do, as he experiments with electronics, noise, tranquil vocals and organ. So highly recommended, it almost hurts.
