Editorial Reviews

Taken from the 2004 compilation '10 Years Of Hits'. The title track, a re-recording of the 1970 Cat Stevens classic featuring the man himself Yusuf Islam. The title track is b/w three non-LP tracks, 'Father & Son' (Metrophonic Mix, Video), & 'I Hope You Can Dance'. Polydor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too slow and without rhyme, April 27, 2006

This review is from: Father & Son, Pt. 2 (Audio CD)
I can't believe that Ronan Keating decided to do this track with Yusuf Islam and in my opinion,it definitely falls short of the Boyzone version. "Father and Son" is a great song and has a much deeper sense of meaning that the daily love songs that we are invariably subjected to hear nowadays. I have admired Boyzone for so wonderfully accomplishing the 1970 Cats Stevens classic and I've forever enjoyed any Ronan Keating track. But this version featuring Yusuf Islam is far from a treasure for me and though this is not a better version, this is one that would make the listener want to get the Boyzone version.
